Such a setup is both complimentary and condescending. To understand Lucius' capabilities to the point of creating a secondary set of traps is the compliment. To assume to understand him so well as to lead him through them is condescending. Liren expects him to survive and to make it out of danger, as well as Hermione. There is no respect here, he treats them as lab rats in a maze of his devising. The question is when they will climb out and refuse to run the game, that is the only thing that will force him to alter his pattern enough to get caught.

*cackles* Yes, Hemione, ignore the imminent danger for how good Lucius feels pressed against you. Glad you have your priorities straight.

*Smirks* If you stop writing now, I'm going to have to take serious action such as pouting at you until you continue.

Sinfully isn't the word I would have used--more like welcome, warm, comforting, arousing, etc. Her mind is falling easily into these reveries it seems. Is someone really trying to kill Lucius already, or was that just a distraction. Hermione, please keep more focused--you can't have him if he's back in Azkeban, or dead. Excellent chapter, Phoenix. Well written and full of new information.

Okay. I'm torn between being ecstatic that you updated and completely peeved at what a teaser that chapter was. lol Seriously though that really was fantastic. I can't wait for more!

Nothing like a good scare to get the old adrenaline pumping! Not that we need it with Lucius around, though. Yay! I love it when you update!

Ahg, brain meltdown! I doubt you'd do this to us, but what if it's Narcissa? She could be possessed, could be some type of active horcrux, or could just hate Lucius for the death of her beloved Liren, who gave her the elf?

I'm glad Lucius and Hermione's thoughts are turning to one another, but there's still potential for the real killer to swoop in at any moment and sever them eternally. The tension is building and because you've not yet exposed Liren completely, I wonder if it's not Liren at all, but the Dark Lord animating Liren's body. See how you've got me questioning my own conclusions? Now _that's_ great writing! I'm on the edge of my seat.
