What's this rubbish about muggle women being stubborn? WOMEN WITH BRAINS are stubborn when "big strong" men try to step in like they own the joint. Looks like Lucius needs to be reminded where his leash is.... *volunteers to do the reminding* Can't wait to see what the hell else is going to go flaming Lucius's way...

Hmm, the possibility of some decent intel, worth nearly getting fried (or oozed, whatever). Each action by the perpetrator is like amold with the object removed: you have to fill the cavity until you can see the impression. He's doing rather a lot to fill that for them. I love Ara, by the way.

Interesting play on the characters: the killer getting into Lucius' head and Hermione trying to get into his. It was a lovely game of cat/mouse with each character taking up different helms at different points.

Wonderful chapter! They work very well together! But..if it is Liren who is behind this, wouldn't he know that Lucius is not a man to be underestimated??
On the other hand... Liren is an arrogant ,self-absorbed wizard, and the Lucius he knows better was always second to him...
I don't know...yes apparently Liren is the brain ,working hard to destroy Lucius, but i have the felling that there is someone else working in the shadows!

Did he actually just call her 'Mine' as in short for Hermione, or as in possessive 'mine'? I guess he wants her to feel comfortable and informal around him, which isn't a bad strategy. If the mask can't be destroyed by magical means then there is hope for it being found--that would at least save another victim having that as her last sight. I like the easy style with which you write; it brings a taste of authenticity to your story that others wouldn't be able to achieve. If you have to have a hiatus we will still be here when you return.
