They still assume that it's a man turning into a woman (that is brilliant by the way) but what if it is a woman using Liren's hair?
...Can a dead person's hair be used for polijuice? I assume so.

Getting caught up after an absence is fun: more chapters to read at once! Your writing is excellent and I'm quite fond of this story. If Hermione judges the idea of Lucius being in love with her a new one, from whence had she thought the little nuances like gentle strokes on her face, meeting of foreheads and kisses came? She's being dense though I doubt she is aware. I hope she examines her own heart and finds an answer there that is more than fondness or lust. Lucius is justified in his worry for her--Liren could be anywhere--or anyone. Anyone.

Here's my theory. It's Cissy. All along, it's been her.

When she left Lucius (or vice versa, can't remember) she went batty (possibly with help from Liren's ghost) and stole Liren's body. She's been polymorphing into him to have the strength to kill all the hussy's *her* husband has been dallying with. Liren's ghost goes along with the choice of victims because he knows it would hurt dear ol' twin brother the most. And that "conversation" that Draco overheard? Well, Norman Bates would have talks with his mother, wouldn't he?

After all, the hair just has to have dna... no one said the donor had to still be alive.

Ok, would Snape's warning be classed as a 'dead' threat? (Sorry, couldn't resist, not that I really tried...) I like Nightmare's assessment, but think that Liren's been in Cissy a lot longer than anyone knows and is 'borrowing' the body to get his own work done. I get the feeling that there were a LOT more people in the Malfoy marriage bed than Lucius ever knew about. Would that qualify as incest and necrophilia as well as slash? Eww.

Hmm... I can't wait to see what happens next. But it seems hard to find someone who is almost just like you in someways. I wonder when he is realize that his ex wife is helping his brother, which makes me really think is his son real his or his brother's? Love the story by the way and I just started reading it a few days ago.
