and the conversation between Mione and Lucius is lovely and heartfelt.

There was something about Hermione's response to Lucius at the end that was just so perfect. I loved it. I can't wait for more!

Never apologize for adding emotional depth to your stories instead of simply going for PWP. Each has their place, depending on one's mood. the additional detail of their feelings will certainly add layers to it when they do decide to get together. Anticipation, after all, is a form of foreplay all its' own. I'm glad she felt comfortable enough to at leat be honest with him. I'm also glad you updated early!

oooh! Nice to see that Lucius has someone who is intelligent enough to catch the clues when they're tossed in her general direction.

*smirks* I have a feeling that the one who hurt Taz is going to regret that move should Lucius get ahold of them. Even more so since they dared to touch Mione.

Have we seen Andrew before in this story? I like him and he adds to the scene (no pun intended) in the hospital immensely. Not to downplay Lucius' superior talents, but I also see that he has a way of drawing the appropriate--for the task at hand--people together around him. Don't know why I like seeing Harry so off put, but I do. Excellent chapter! Why do they have to be so short??!!

Gods, I wish I could keep track and make use of so many subtle details as you do--my stories are rather simplistic when I compare them to yours. Andrew's involvement puts a light on things that Hermione will have to consider, especially if she allows herself a deeper involvement as well. By the way, thanks for updating early, I was hoping for something to think about this weekend.

I hope you check the reviews regularly, because I had another epiphany. You may want to remove this one. After Liren is done torturing his brother enough to bring about a rather bloody confrontation, I'm guessing he's going to be looking to move to genetically suitable quarters, so to speak? Otherwise his baiting Lucius into a frothing mass of vengeful rage isn't doing a hell of a lot, and he's too intelligent to have all of this be for mere amusement, no matter how sick his head is (even if the head he's using isn't his). He would get a lot of satisfaction from turning the tables on Lucius, after all these years.
