Hmm...it'd be interesting if she never goes back to him...

Have yet to see an angst fic where she leaves him but does not ever come back...

I really enjoyed this chapter very much. I had a feeling she would go back to sunshine. The parts with Crooks are wonderful. He is a character all on his own. Loved it.

Started reading then stopped because I don't like stories not yet completed. Guess I've changed my mind because it kept coming back to me so re-read and up to date.
This is a very well written story and different than so many Marriage stories.
Hope the warden ends up in Sev's old cell when he vacates. (He's going to vacate, right?)
Harry needs to grow up.
The house elves are great!
This is so well written that it's hard to read others. HG/SS is my ship of choice but finding stories of this caliber is very hard.
Please write more.

I had to stop in the middle reading chapter 24 to post. Where DO you come up with some of your phrases?!? "Packed up and retired to Majorca to die an obscure slow death" or better "some malmsey-nosed simpleton" and best "those lip-strumming dolts Weasley and Potter"!!!! ROFLMAO!!! Your work is thoroughly appreciated!! Kudos chica!

MAAHAHHAHAH i love that last bit with crooks, he's such a funny little kitty =] man these last few chapters sure have been angsty....i must remember not to read them in public! i audibly sniffed at "The wretched sharp tang of losing his wife was agony. " and i imagine my nose got really red because my eyes watered....what a way to turn that around! i still feel sorry for hermione but i really felt for severus this time around..poor kids, why doesn't severus just realize that he wants little snapeys? hopefully things turn up in the next chapter =]....please?

How better to temper the ache from a heart break than to hear about it from the cat's point of view. Brilliant.

Well dayum! Severus almost comatose. Hermione back on drugs. And, poor Crooksy with a stubbed tail. What a miserable little group. :-( All because they are both too darn stubborn to admit their real fears to one another. Sigh...to much like real life and real people. LMAO I can't wait to see which one cracks first...

My heart aches for both of them like I am the one going through this.
You've got an innate sense of how to tell a story that MEANS something to the reader. On occasion I have gone back and re-read the entire story just for the pleasure of watching the events unfold again. Your pacing and prose are superb, the editing has gotten tighter and you know just when to break up the angst with a bit of humor to keep the reader from getting too depressed (I adore the bit at the end of 49 from Crooks POV). While I have some suspicions as to where the story is headed from here I'm looking forward to watching the details play out.
Incidentally, I've got a sneaking suspicion that if you were to turn your talents to writing professionally (presuming you aren't a professional writer blowing off stem by writing fanfiction) you would be on the bestseller lists in no time. I know I would gladly pay to read novels by you if they are all as well crafted as this.

Thank you for the update. I have a little knot of anxiety caused by the pain they're in. It's so tragic and pointless.
