LOL, I'm going to be struggling to keep up at this rate. :) Clears throat - Chapter 14.
Oh the shock of Millicent coming forward in Magical creatures class. What's the go there? Has she had a lot of counselling too or is there another game afoot for her??? LMAO on R9on's comment of Greg being able to talk. Bloody Luna and her ill timed comments (not always ill timed, of course). I felt very embarrased for Greg and Hermione then. I hope she does know how and when to let him down gently. Maybe she should do that age old trick of finding him someone else to focus his romantic attentions on?? LOL I'm also laughing at the thought of Harry and Ron trying to keep Millie talking.
LMAO naughty Goyle having a peek down Hermione's shirt - he might not be able to move once class is over. LOL And here comes Theo being his 'usual' smooth self. I wonder what Draco relly thought of him sitting down next to Hermione like that (let alone the rest of the 'trio'.) OH no, Blaise is at it again. He really needs to talk to someone about this and snap out of it soon. Maybe Snape, I think he'd actually listen to him. (I know I would) *evil grin*
Oh, oh, oh, she's checking Draco out and he almost caught her (not that he seemed clued in to the fact) LOL
HMMMM still don't know what to make of Millie, not sure if she's friend or foe yet although I do rather like her 'no nonsense, this is the way it is' approach. And what an ending with Blaise. It's almost as if he's become unhinged a little. I wonder if he even realises that other poeple are treating his mother the way the Slyhterins treated Hermione and other muggleborns all these years?? This is his breaking point, I would say. He's had his call for help and Draco was right there for him (and for himself and Hermione I do believe). And onwards I go. LOL

Chap 15 - Ahhh, so Snape saw everything and what do you know, he is going to talk to Blaise but as a counsellor or as something else, I wonder? Defenceless, my left nut - LMAO It's been a while since I heard that form of expression. Oh, ok, he does realise the comparison between his mother and Hermione. You'd think he'd understand her a little better since that's the case. Or maybe he does and that's why he's acting out.
Poor Harry, it's like he's going off to meet his maker rather than Dumbledore. I love Theo's comment and your description of him being like a vicar. And a fitting reply Dumbledore gave Harry too. I thought nothing much got past Snape, but he's not yet on a par with Dumbledore - tell Hermione to follow her heart indeed. LOL

Oh, goodness... I just read chapters 1 to 21 in one go. Hours WELL spent - if you wrote books, I would buy them. This is the sort of story I wanted instead of that blasted forced epilogue - I love that you obviously have put so much care into each and every character. You've thought through the problems with the school system and figured out a way to push the story along at a good pace without forcing the characters too hard or the situation. I would normally never say this for fanfics, but I kind of wish you were taking it even slower so I could enjoy more of the background banter you've put into it. I love the small details like the corny numbers joke from Ron in Arithmetacy or the magazine subscription you put in this last chapter. Pansy is such a wonderful "window" into all of this - I love the way you've made background characters like her and Nott who Rowling never did much with into the quiet observant types. It's a great way to reframe your analysis of the characters, which has also been great. So many fanfic writers feel the need to slam Ron if they want to pair Hermione off with anyone else, or don't give the characters time to be confused and angry and engage with all the psychological damage Rowling drama obviously would have inflicted. You've obviously got lots of delicious angst mixed in all over the place, but I like that you can also do the quiet relationship growth moments with Pansy and Draco too, times to let them settle a bit and challenge each other without pushing into new situations. My only complaint is that I wish this were Tuesday and I could look forward to a new chapter tomorrow, but I'm glad I've waited to enjoy it so I could have so much to savor. It's SO great! Thank you thank you thank you for sharing your talent with us!

I also meant to say that I LOVE the bit about Greg Goyle - he's working great as a nonthreatening love triangle member - perfect amount of push/angst with minimum damage - but I hope you find a way to make him happy in the end. If it doesn't work with your story I guess that's ok too, but I'm all for a satisfying resolution for the guy since I feel like you've basically created him yourself. The way others respond to him and he happily ogles Hermione all make him a very entertaining bit part, but I feel like he could even go further. Not that I'd trade him for your fabulous version of Draco or anything. The shampoo obsession bit is great, btw. It makes me giggle endlessly every time and I'm so happy you finally had him come out and say something and let everyone respond as of course they would. Sigh! I don't normally review much, but I'm so wrapped up in your story I don't want to let it go tonight.

Okay, how can I choose this story as a favorite? I haven't figured that out yet.
"her reluctance to put herself out there to be hurt" - well this phrase is really a two sides of the same coin that makeup both Hermione and Draco. It came from Ron so his insight is based on Hermione but the truth is that Draco is like this as well, isn't he? He's alone, confused and falling for someone he'd never have thought he could have. Someone who could actually affect his life and future. Scary.
Ron was hilarious and I was proud of his little speech - wow, what a grown up! I liked it. And the little interaction between Hermione and Draco was just adorable. Love how he admitted that she was stuck in his head. Make a move boy! Make a move! Hello Hogsmeade or walk around the lake.
Hmm - Draco getting out of his head is nice. He's such a loner and being in his own head can cause issues. It's why he's so hesitant and lacks trust of those around him as well as himself. Getting out of his head makes him interact with others - even if he's being a git. When he and Hermione come together, she'll be good for him - I think he'll be forced to be a bit warmer and approachable. I can tell he's is going to just adore Hermione.

I don't review stories very often, but I wanted to let you know that I absolutely LOVE how you have pulled this story off. Most Mione/Draco stories are all like "Omg! 7th year and we're hot now and still hate each other but stick each other's tounges down the other's throats anyway!!!"
However, how you gave this some backstory and plot concerning others, and telling it not just from the point of view of those two, but everyone else as well is simply genius. Not many authors actually take the time to sit down and give the plot much besides the "romance", and you're also doing that, as well as taking your time with it. I very much enjoy reading this, and I'm looking forward to the chapters to come. <3

Hey darlin', I'm back from holidays (oh gawd how I missed the internet - LOL) Anyways, I have 6 chapters to catch up which is wonderful for me but also means that you have at least half a dozen of my spiels to go through too. ;) Which I will get to as soon as I catch up on my washing, ironing and general domestic goddess duties (Merlin knows when I'll get to writing my own stuff again). :0
