I wish there were words to convey the expression on my face - I don't know, giddyness, satisfaction, sympathy, and a touch of a Peter Pan "crow" added in at the beginning and end. At any rate, I your chapters always make me smile. I normally whiz through everything I enjoy reading, but I don't find myself resenting the forced patience for this story.
It's character-building on both ends, I suppose. :) You're doing great revealing different layers to the story at each turn, keeping the pace under control to give each of the characters the time they need to sort things out. It lets your audience explore all the personalities and ramifications in ways that I suppose many writers have to think about but don't normally hand over to their readers to enjoy.
You have a lot of talent - I'm sorry to hear you don't feel comfortable sharing this hobby with friends (though I totally understand, it takes a bit of context to enjoy this kind of thing) but I hope you're doing something else with your abilities that you *can* share publicly. Not that I want you to reduce your output here in any way - that would be unconscionable!

So far, Hermione's birthday is shaping up to be brilliant. I can't wait to see what else you've got cooked up for her and the rest of the crew. :D

Excellent story! It is so nice to see a story without a ton of smut. I enjoy smut, don't get me wrong, but it's nice to see a story that has something to it besides smut for smut's sake.

So how clammy do you think Draco's palms were when he held Hermione's hands? I love the little dance that Hermione and Draco are doing - and they are dancing around each other with the coy looks, little smiles and, I'm sure, fluttering stomachs. I remember what its like to like a boy so much your hands feel numb and your chest feels like your heart will beat right out of it.
I'm a bit pissed at the Weasley matriarch's behaviour. Fred and George not so much but I would have expected Molly to be more welcoming to the Slytherins. They are young adults who also went through alot and lost family, etc. It can't have been easy to be there and as an adult I expected her to be more forthcoming rather than choosing to ignore them. History be damned - she's an adult.
It was sweet little chapter and with a very real slice of life having the Slytherin group in a corner. Hermione was good to go over and hang out with them, though dragging out the moment for them to meet her parents was a bit silly. Hopefully they won't be The Burrow much longer.
Draco wants to kiss her so BADLY - I want him to just grab her and snog the living the daylights out of her.
So glad you liked the Draco analogy, I thought it was on purpose and thought it was brilliant. Thanks for the shout out about it. I really like this Draco - its more in canon than what I think anyone would suspect. I really can't wait for him to stake his claim with Hermione - I think we'll more than just feel his presence. Not shrinking into corners or shadows. I think he'll find a strength in their relationship that will surprise everyone.

Loved the reflective moment the trio had thinking about the previous birthday and the analogy Parvati gave Theo and Pansy as to the trio's seperation from the group. Love even more the way she told Pansy to look forwards and not backwards and move on from the past.
LMAO on Harry's comment when Draco entered the carriage and it was a nice touch not to have the thestrals there. And there they go dumping Theo into the proverbial again by having him negotiate 'peace talks' within the group. Couples counsellor and now diplomat - whatever next? LOL
And hey, all these couples AND an overnight stay??? What's going on???? LMAO ;)
It's very sweet that they ended up at The Burrow but I'm really surprised at the way Molly treated the Slytherins. She always seems so welcoming and forgiving even though I know she has that wild streak and doesn't let anyone forget it if they hurt a member of her (extended) family. Fred and George reacted how I expected them to but I have to say it was a bit rude of them to start in the way they did considering the Slytherins were invited and it is Hermione's birthday after all - and here they are stirring things up in the first half hour - that's just not good. I do like though, that it shows the Slytherins are capable of standing together and are not only looking out for themselves like you'd expect (unless there was something in it for them). Love that Ginny waltzed in and took the sting out of the situation even if Theo was a bit put out by it. LOL
Awwww her mum and dad are there and typical dad letting the nickname slip - I swear is it a dad thing or what??? And I knew she'd take them over the Draco - oh, I mean the Slytherins last. I bet Mrs G is going to pick up on that straight away. LOL Maybe, just maybe she might be worried about the whole mudblood issue and the fact that her parents are muggle - but I really don't think so. ;) And what a rotten place to stop the story!!!!!!!
I agree with you, Harry would have to have issues especially having things put upon him all these years and suddenly that weight has been lifted off him and now he's got to find out who he is too. He's not just the boy who lived or the wizard who defeated Voldemort anymore. LOL And I'm not worried that Blaise is going to interfere in the H/D romance. Actually I was reading some of your other reviews and I agree, not everyone has to be coupled up and go on to live happily ever after. There is definitely a happy ever after for those who choose to be single too. As much as I'd like someone to bring out the softer side of Millie (I'm sure she has one) - it doesn't have to happen in a romance and that's not real life, is it? Gawd knows there are't too many happy ever afters in high school (so to speak). Some of them would have to be slow learners like I am. LMAO As you've said in your story about other characters, they have to like themselves first before anyone else can.
Oh I see what you mean now about Draco wanting to find out more about Hermione, I misunderstood before. I suppose I laughed because it's a typical Hermione reaction, she thinks she can learn everything from a book when that's not really what happens. I wonder what Ron is up to then, even in his most immature moments he was a brilliant strategist - I wonder how his new found maturity is going to affect things then??
And finally, I would be HONOURED to help in any way I can although I'm not exactly sure what you want of me. I'm on MSN, Facebook and email if you want to contact me. Let me know what suits you and I'll leave that address up here for a while and then delete it, okay. Hugs right back!!
