Oh wow!!! This is different and very interesting - you have me hooked, now you better feed me with more chapters!!!

A very interesting first chapter. I am of course curious to why Hermione have hidden Norton in the attic in stead of aknowlegding him, but I guess you will tell us soon enough. I totally dislike Ron so I would never agree to him be in his rigth to blame Hermione for anything:-), and in this case I will claim that he most certainly put his nose where it didn't belong. He did not respect that there were aspects of her life Hermione wasn't willing to share with him, obviously she did try at one point, with no sucsess. He went into her house while she was not at home just to be able to snoop and that is betraying trust and lack of manners (not that Ron has ever been portraited with knowlegde of manners, ref his eating habbits in the books). Not to mention, he didn't stop to ask Hermione why and who, nooooo, as always; he sputters, acuse, get redfaced and storms off. (OK, admit again, I dislike Ron!:-)). In my humble opinion, the sooner a fic get Ron out of Hermiones life, the better the fic. That said, don't think that my dislike of the Ron character equals dislike of your fic. I am really intrigued by this first chapter, I will love to discover the plot behind, and not to mention; this is supposed to be a Hermione/Severus fic, so at some point the pairing will be very much in my taste:-) (I have never, and will never, read a fic where the pairing is Ron/Hermione, I am to allergic to said pairing to ever enjoy such a story, no matter how well written it migth be)

This is a great start. I look forward to reading more to see who Norton is, what is wrong with him, and why Hermione is hiding him in her attic.
