Nice! Very good psychological mind game you have Hermione playing with him. I like how she has him filing stuff on things he flagrantly disrespected and didn't value in his youth and the irony of his situation now. I LOVE how he wants ritual and she doesn't let him get comfortable so he establishes one of his own. How human and heartbreaking. The part that really got to me though was her refusal to touch him, and coming so close only to deny him of that, and him uttering his desire for that one thing. That Draco is semi-hard through this is very telling and I'm wondering if he's surprised by his reaction. I like that there is hope that she will touch him, once he earns it of course. : ) Great update, really loving this Emily ((()))

Hmm. Well I certainly hadn't been expecting that. I'm really intrigued by Hermione here, especially as she detailed the laundry list of things Draco had done, or what the war had forced her to do (protect her parents). That end bit was quite powerful really as Draco shed tears. I look forward to how you play this out.

I cannot even begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful this is. You have such a gift for painting an emotional picture with words. I can feel Draco's pain, his apathy and his desperation. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Yes! "Hurt me". beautiful...I can't wait until she really does...in the most affectionate way possible of course. I LOVED Draco's persistence to seek absolution and Hermione's refusal to give in to it and I loved her running down the laundry list of all the shit he's done...he really was an ass! lol. No pity here : ) I love the undercurrent and tension between them, it's old rivalry mixed with regret mixed with something distinctly erotic. The way she circled his Dark Mark was cold and funny at the same time. And she made him cry and he didn't even know he was until he was outside? Brilliant. More please, can't wait to see how this progresses and if she ever really absolves him. Great update, Love. : )

Interesting start so far. I was surprised to read Daphne's name. Was there any particular reason you didn't go with Astoria? Or was it merely just because only Daphne would have the pull to start the gossip chain to Harry? I wasn't sure about the "why" Draco wanted Hermione specifically to recognize him, not convinced at first, but I like that you branched off into Draco being able to respect her for getting so far. Nice job so far. Starting off with Draco looking back at the times of Voldemort was cool to see, although I hope he doesn't need to remain so resigned for too long.
