I think it came off very well, the conversation flowed just like it would if you were trying to tell a difficult story to someone else. Its hard to explain anything that has affected your life to someone who has not been through it, I think you and Hermione did a wonderful job.

I don't think many people understand that emotional abuse is so far-reaching. You don't have to be hit to feel agonizing pain... poor Hermione. Hopefully, Lucius can help her learn to trust herself. If she eventually (I hope) wants to be married with kids, it doesn't mean her ex was right. They are soooo going to "debate" this & I can't wait to see the sparks :) I just love headstrong Hermione and stubborn Lucius - yummy!

The story is very well written and quite belivable too as it is set long enough after the war to allow Lucius to change sufficiently. And hermione loving to travel! Modelled after yourself? I read in the Author's notes that you have lived in a few different places? Sounds amazing.
