The first scene was quite vivid and passionate. The dream twist is pretty funny. While I don't speak for all readers, I found it as jarring to read as if I was brought out of a dream.
The second scene was some good character work. We continue to see how concerned Draco is while also gaining some understaning of Harry's position in the Ministry.
I, for one, look forward to the interactions between aurors and muggle police. All wizarding world all the time can get old. It's the most fun when the mundane and magical meet!

Thanks so much for the third chapter. I guess I misread the first one; I thought Ron had kidnapped her. Looks like a much more complex plot, now. Who knows? Maybe the girl with the flat affect isn't even Hermione. Or, maybe she's pregnant, too. :D

So, she's been kidnapped, and whoever it was used Ron as bait. Interesting. :D

The author is terribly clever and seems to have a delightfully mischevious spark. There is a genuine hint of mystery that, I believe, would make the story gripping (at least so far) even outside the HP setting. On the other hand, these are all characters we know and love...which definitely plays up a reader's curiosity about Hermione's whereabouts.
I certainly look forward to reading more.
