i like this story so far. i just don't like clff hangers, because i want to know what happens. i was sad when Snape lossed his child, you would think that after losing one child he would welcome the other one with open arms, but then again there is no telling how a person reacts to grief.

LMAO.
Okay, Hermione is a wee bit of a dickhead, too. No, I take that back. Just because she doesn't want to be accidentally knocked up with Snape's kid doesn't mean she's a bad sort. Not EVERY female who gets pregnant forms an attachment to their unborn child in the 9 months it's developing, that's for sure. But she had the situation with Snape and guessed his reactions spot on. AND it's clear from her entries that she had no idea that he was getting married or what Ginny's deal was.

The diary lacked any representation of any emotions she's feeling, though, other than anger and sarcasm. Those are more fanon than canon traits, and while I like that characterization, and while she's always been a little bit of a loner, I think her current life situation would have put her into a more angsty state of mind than a little tongue-in-cheek humor. JMO

Please tell me that he is going to make a visit to Draco and Ginny and make them answer a few dozen questions, too. Their motivations are, in some ways, far more important. In fact, their actions are what led to his wedding being crashed and his fiance being hit by a car -- you'd think he'd be shoving veritiserum down their throats. Hermione's motivations seem pretty straight forward: hurry up and have the baby and find it a good home far away from Snape, Hogwarts, Britain, and maybe even in the Wizard World, so that she can get back to her research -- pretty single minded.

More more more more more -- spoil us with 3 chapters today like yesterday!!!!

BTW, I'm happy to be of service in opening up that Pandora's box. Stories that get you interested, even excited or angry, get you thinking, and then get you talking about it because there is just something you've got to put your two cents in about -- I don't do that very often. Rarely, in fact. And like a lot of people, I make little guesses as to what they're thinking or what's going to happen and I know it's just a guess 'cause I'm not the one writing it but I'm guessing or hoping or whatever. You know what I mean? But it's good to get people thinking and talking. About situations, about life. Because some of what's going on in this story, hits home with a lot of people, either personally or through people they know. They can sympathize and empathize in a real way. Excellent job.

Like, I've read a ton of these fics where Hermione has some sort of one night stand, gets pregnant and then waits to tell Snape that it's his. He's always mad at her and everyone always thinks she's wrong for not telling him instantly. No matter how it's spun, she's somehow wrong or bad. Not him, poor old clueless and innocent sperm donor Snape who was just minding his own business when he accidentally fucked Hermione. LMAO

I get tired of seeing people go into automatic where they assume that Hermione is the Bad Guy in this situation because the tragedy appears to be all on Snape right now. But the Big Picture, guys, is that it's never that simple. And she made one really stupid drunk mistake and had to face the consequences and then make the best possible decision that she could. For her, personally, she couldn't go through with an abortion so she decided on adoption. Okay, guys, I'm bummed that she didn't fall inlove with it and want to be the best little mummy in the whole wide world too, but she was trying to be responsible.

The running off thing? Maybe she thought the matter was resolved or that it would keep for three days until she got back. Three days to a researcher who is single mindedly obsessed with finding a cure to something really horrible might do something hair-brained and "absent-minded-professor" like that. Maybe she figured she'd done her bit for 9 months and the baby would be better off not associated with her any more, period. I guess we'll be finding out the answer to that in the next few chapters. ?maybe?

Just to throw my hat back into the ring--I'm *glad* Hermoine ran away, it was perfect. And I've really enjoyed the past few chapters.

Oh yeah, it's always scary shit when Lucius is in the mix. Now it's going to get waaaay harder to find out that information from Draco and Ginny.

There's always so many little skeletons in the Malfoy closet (especially where Lucius is concerned), and I don't think sweet little Nalina was just an innocent bystander. Nope, but that's JMO.

Question about something from an earlier chapter:
"He never mentioned his one night mistake in that muggle club, thinking nothing more of it. And four weeks later his bride to be had announced that she was nearly two months pregnant. He could not have been happier."

Um, I don't know if this was a miscalculation and a teensy weensy continuity error or if it's very much intentional to the thickening plot we see developing in chapter 12, but...

Four weeks later she said she was two months pregnant, means that she was about a month pregnant already when he impregnated Hermione in the bar bathroom. In other words, she should have been a full month further along than Hermione. In other words, she should have given birth about a month before Hermione did. In other words, why was she STILL pregnant at her wedding when Hermione was 39+weeks pregnant? Did she lie about being pregnant and THEN get herself pregnant after they got back together? Does Severus not know how to count to 9? Perhaps someone should ask him to count back 40 weeks from Nalina's due date and then look at the calendar?

Now I'm back to thinking that Nalina's baby would have had red hair and green eyes, LOL. Ahh, poor Nalina -- I pick on her so. She has to live down that bad Malfoy rep that JKR has brainwashed us with.

Okay, I'll TRY to be patient while you are away from this story for a few days, but then I'll get out my virtual poking stick and will nag you for more more more!
Excellent work!

Good things come to those who wait... and I'll GLADLY wait for some SS/HG when the QUAILITY is THIS good!

Ignore the impatient ones, duckie, write for your own pleasure and not theirs! If you enjoy it, then who's to judge your plot?

ps. I love this, though it is rather depressing to read without a bar of chocolate on stand-by.

You really know how to build a great plot. I have taken a reprieve from hovering around the computer and came back to find three more chapters, needless to say I was thrilled. I am so anticipating the next confrontation between Sev and Hermione I'm sure it will be explosive. As for her little side project I have no idea what she is working on. However I can't help but think it will be a crucial part of the story. I was also wondering if we are going to find out about the whole "half-breed killer" comments. Then suddenly to find out that Ginny the little tart, might have blackmailed Lucius. I'm sure she is after money why else would she dump Harry and hatch a sceme with Draco and try her hand at extortion. My head is spinning and my poor kitty is purring so loudly in delight from this story she might go horse. Can't wait for more. Well done!!!!

Popcorn is all yours! ;0)
::hands over my popcorn. Whatever will get me new chapters. :0) ::

While we're at it let's just add in the rest of the Hershey and Nestle repertoire. ;0)

Blackmail and intrigue! And with Lucius Malfoy in the thick of it you know this is going to be explosive stuff! Ginny, Draco and Lucius duking it out, I can't wait to see what happens. Hmm, I get the feeling innocent Nalina isn't (or wasn't - sorry - RIP Nalina) as innocent as we thought. And I think Ginny's in way over her head but thinks she can handle it. Yikes.

As I said, I love a good cliffhanger and this is a great one. I'll try to be patient and wait for new chapters. ;0)
