Awesome, awesome start of story. I'm guessing Severus saw the innocent kiss Ron and Harry shared? I can't wait to find out Snape's reaction to Harry running away!

In all honesty, I think that it needs to be beta'd. There are a lot of general errors that make it a bit harder to read. That said...

I like what you've done. I enjoy the emotionally, gut-wrenchingly sad stories the best. I truly look forward to reading all of the other installments. It shouldn't be to hard to find a beta on this site, and if you really can't, or if you're at all unsure, I'd be glad to lend a hand. I haven't beta'd before, mostly because I have a four year old who demands (literally) quite a bit of attention, but I'd love to give it go for the right story. I do like this one a lot and I hope you don't give up on it!!

I wasn't sure what I thought at first. I usually avoid reading stories in the present tense because I always feel distanced from the characters, but the more I read the more I liked the sparse writing style and I found I could make that emotional connection to Harry. I hope something, or someone, stops Harry before he uses that razor.

I'm really liking your fic and I hope that you do decide to keep posting more chapters.
I do hope that Harry and Severus rectify the problems in their relationship and that Harry becomes confident enough to fight back against Dumbledore and co's manipulation of his life, with Severus' help/co-operation of course.
