Not fair you made me choke up with tears at the end there on this chapter 

So far I'm loving it

This story was so painful and sweet! I loved it!

Oooh... I just read chapter 10. I need tissues. That was probably the first funeral scene I have ever read that made me cry. Oh my god that was so sad. -blows nose- ;-;Welp. TIME TO READ THE REST!

I'm at chapter 10 and this story is absolutely captivating. It becomes difficult for me to read sometimes because it reminds me strongly of when my best friend died. The emotions you describe ring true, the guilt and the way you have moments that you forget they're gone and then it all crashes back in. Even besides that it's a really good story so far and I look forward to finishing it.

This is one of the best fanfics I've read, and I've been reading them a looong time! It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me scared, it made me happy. There was a point near the end where I didn't want to click 'next chapter' because I'd become so involved in this story and the characters that I didn't want to know what happened next incase it was bad! While smut is great, it's even better when it compliments a great story as it did here. So much thought and planning went into every scene and it totally paid off. Thank you for writing this story, the last two days I spent reading it have been an emotional rollercoaster!

Oh and one more thing, normally I don't mind angst as it never seems that bad, but in this story? Wow! Just broke my heart haha.

lovely lovely story! Not predictable like a lot of stories today and a very enjoyable read. Nice balance between lemons and the story line. Gosh you had me crying something fierce and often too, but this was amazing. Thanks for sharing!

This is one of the best stories I have read. Great job! Good plot, characters that started out as they had originally written and grew throughout the story. I laughed and cried and would love to see where Harry and Severus go and what they do on their sabbatical. I can just imagine them at a rollercoaster. Do, please, continue to write these characters in short stories or oneshots.

Wow. What a beautifully written story, I don't think I've ever cried so much. It was just amazing. I don't normally like so much sadness and angst I'm more of a comedy person but sometimes a girl just needs a good sad love story with a happy ending. So, so beautiful.

I just wanted to say that your story is incredible and I'm sorry that I haven't reviewed it earlier. I believe I found this here when you had posted something like three chapters, and from then on I would pop in here three or four times a week (sometimes daily) to check whether you had posted more or not. And now that you have finished the story long time ago, I still come here to read it again and again, like today.

I'm not much of a writer or a critic, so I can't simply find the words to descripe how awesome your Pains and Contradictions is. I have completely fallen in love the way you write and especially portray the characters. My whole time favourite character in HP is Snape, and I simply adore your skill in writing him in such a realistic way in this setting. And Harry. What is there to say? It was heart breaking to read about him loosing Ron, then warming to see how Severus got him under his wing to make his suffering at least a bit more bearable, only to see him break his heart because of the git. I also enjoyed reading about the moments between Harry and Remus. I think you have done great job with the werewolf, too. I simply loved the interactions between him and Severus. Oh yes, Albus too. That wicked old man...

I believe reading every chapter the first, then the second and the thirt time (I think I lost count as to how many times I have read your work) left me speechless every time. You have such a talent in your hands, and I salute you for it. And thank you for giving me all these feelings and making my life a bit more special.

Now I'm off to enjoy your work yet again.
