Wow, a truly epic and fascinating tale. A story worthy of Snape. Your original characters are as engaging as the HP originals and the way you wove in Native American and even some Asian wizardry was brilliant. Thank you for this wonderful imagining of better days for Snape.

"Severus hunched his shoulders. 'Dunno. Mum's the only one I know besides you.'
'Don't you have any grandparents or aunts and uncles?' Lily's questioning gaze lifted to his, and he was glad she was distracted from her original question. He hated being poor." Is that a quote from the books? If not you captured the relationship perfectly. And so, this is a great chapter. I really like that you can seamlessly integrate past and present and show just what Severus' weaknesses really are. I loved the ending here. It was really touching and very realistic.

Oh, I wish I could have found this as you were posting it, because I'd have given you a review right from the start. I was utterly fascinated by your bringing Severus into the Lakota family, and I really love your OCs.

I truly appreciate the research you've done regarding the various spiritual and magical traditions--and the psychological effects of the kind of life that Snape led from early childhood on. There are too many scenes to count that really touched my heart, and made me choke up.

I have to admit I really grinned when Severus told off that rat b*st*rd Clay about what he'd have done to him. And I grinned even wider, for much better reasons, when Severus arrived at the ceremony site for the adoption and saw his extended family was there.

I liked how you had the interludes from Blaise Zabini's journal. I liked the scene at the dance when Severus danced with his daughter, and with Antonia. I enjoyed the bit where Severus asked Antonia's dad for her hand in marriage--and the bride price made me howl with laughter. You see, I have friends who have fainting goats, and so I could picture that VERY clearly.

You did a fantastic job of showing Severus' slow path to healing from that night that JP accosted him to the wonderful day that he finally married his Antonia, without making the love and erotic bits sappy, nor the nightmares and his self-denigration too melodramatic.

I've added this story to my list of fics to re-read (along with the others I've reviewed in the past few days). It's now a favorite and I can only say "Well done" and move on to read more of your works. :)

Thanks for sharing your creativity!

Simply amazing work! I admire the time and effort of the varied research so evident in this and all of your stories. I too have a compulsion with it. I rarely read fanfiction, let alone find anything that I feel is worthy of my time...I stayed up entirely too late (or early as it were) reading The Slytherin Redemption like a fabulous book I couldn't put down as I scrolled through the chapters. You have a rare and amazing talent and I am thrilled to add you to the handful of fanfiction authors that I will read. I am already looking forward to reading your next installment of this series (already read the first three chapters). I do a fair job of writing myself, at least so I've been told, but have never produced anything of this caliber and I am inspired to try. Our styles are different but that is a good thing I think. Please never let the lack of reviews make you doubt your ability. Okay as a writer I know they will, but I'm sure that for every review you do have there are hundreds of readers who have enjoyed your story who simply do not realize the importance of a word of appriciation for the effort. Or are simply too overwhelmed by your talent to form coherent thought!

WONDERFUL!!! I'm waiting patiently for the sequel to be updated!! I LOVE stories where they Slytherins aren't as all bad as everyone might think, but not goody goody "angels" either. Thank you for writing such wonderful stories!

That was a wonderful conclusion to a story well written. As in real life, it is with a feeling of relief and regret when one finishes a great journey. Hope you will think up other journeys for us to visit. To keep Snape so wonderfully English while he was in an American setting is not something you come across every day. I have thouroughly enjoyed this story and am anticipating more stories of your pen. May your muses be kind to you.

I have so enjoyed reading this story. I loved your portrayal of the US magical community, how easily it intermingled with the muggle world, as well as with the Native American community. Your original characters are brilliant. I love Stella and Joseph Pony. Snape's mental road towards self-forgiveness, with all the flashbacks, was greatly written. I liked how positive this story was. Thanks for a most enjoyable reading experience.

Still loving your writing! I had to go back and read all of your other stuff because I liked it so much. All great stories! I sure hope Poppy is wrong about the eventual wheel chair. I hope the acupuncture Dr. can help him. Glad to see Severus getting over Lily and moving onto loving another. I was very glad to hear that he realised he had the will to live. I think I remember reading sometime that you were wondering if you should add more sex to the story. I know that this is AFF, but I for one like a good story way more than reading all the smut. So in my opinion (which is probably in the minority on this site)what you have in so far has been fine. Please update soon!
