I am afraid to find out what went wrong. I can see now that he wants to be able to love Hermione freely now and is working constantly towards that goal, but he should not have taken the potion yet. Well he is a stubborn man. Keep up the good work.

Has he gone mad? What researcher would possibly take a potion that just killed all his test subjects? And to leave everything to her 'in case' it goes belly up? The only possible solution I can see is that if the potion Dumbledore gave him produces a love that lasts a lifetime, he has to find a way to convince the first potion that he's dead and then be revived. Not risk I would want to take. Please let us know when he's okay, or dead, ASAP, please, please?

Well, this doesn't look good! Dead mice and an unconscious Severus. Can't wait to see what happens.

A pity to know the end is nigh.
Now to find out if she finds him unconscious and if the revival in said state is what's needed to live after breaking the curse?
Looking forward to reading the last chapter!

This is my favourite story here; as glad I am to finally reach the end - one way or another - I will miss the excitement of waiting for another chapter.
Thank you for a brilliant work of fiction. :)

Ack! Poor Severus! I love the will and his little farewell "love" note. I'm going to guess that removing the love is too much for the heart and you need good old-fashioned CPR or electrical shocks to start it up again? I'm afraid I didn't follow the line of reasoning about the mice being unhappy about not seeing their love and Severus being less stressed but still unhappy not seeing Lily in person.

Hmm, either Severus really wanted to get laid or he's mentally starting to break down some of the barrier Albus put in place by wanting Hermione and actively cursing the mouse because the antidote didn't work.
Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
