Good grief, I just saw my own typo: persoanally, rather appropos to the subject matter but I meant personally. And, I now realize you were describing Draco as a serpent. Phew. No more reviewing until Pitt has had half a pot of coffee. :P

Oh wow - writing first person POV is so damn hard. Brave, brave Willow!

I like the ways you use to describe Lucius as a snake.

I find the use of the first person, and addressing the reader so persoanally, trying to put us into Lucius' position, to be a bit disconcerting, distracting even. Please don't be mad, it's just an observation. First person is such a strong choice, taking readers diretly to that person's mind, that switching like that, I feel like it weakens your choice. Of course, if you meant to set the readers on edge, using the switching between the two characters as a deliberate choice, then you have succeeded!

Wow, that was an amazing twist at the end, to have son besting the father, completely unexpected and different. Very nicely done!
