hey there. love the story! btw; in britain kindergarten is called nursery class or more recently changed to foundation stage. a teaching aide is a teaching assistant and teachers qualify by doing a teaching degree(BEd) or teacher training college post graduate certificate of education. (PGCE) otherwise your 'britspeak' seems fine. good luck with coming chapters, i will be waiting.

Chapter 15:
His first birthday party, how sad.
I knew he was going to propose, and what a proposal it was. I loved his stilted way of asking her.
Dumbledore never does anything without a reason, does he? The Elder wand is now Harry's and Voldemort will not be it's master once again.
I love how she expressed her worries to him and he did absolutely nothing to allay them. Men.
Chapter 16:
Good battle sequences. I enjoyed it from an almost omnipotent POV, as both Tonks and Iris witnessed it. And none of my favorite characters died. Thank you.
Epilogue:
Narcissa and Lockhart. She does go for the peacocks in the crowd, doesn't she?
Severus sipping Pina Coladas, yes. In a tropical shirt, no, unless it's black flowers on charcoal grey.
Good job. I enjoyed your story.

Chapters 1-5:
Sorry, I set out to review each chapter then got so caught up in the story that I forgot. So far, I like the setup between Iris and Severus. (I think that's the pairing.) He can't hid anything from her because she already knows so much. I am intrigued by the whole idea that Severus wouldn't be able to hid behind a flurry of robes and a sneer. Even though I'm a Lucius fan, I also liked that Draco and Narcissa were saved, without Draco having to take the Dark Mark. I wonder how this will affect the rest of the story.
I love Lump and his lumpy little name. I could almost see him as I read about him. Good job in portraying the dog in so few words. I liked that.
The Malfoy Manor scene was harrowing and I'm glad you didn't dwell too much on the atrocities committed. And thank you for not bowing to current political considerations and making that poor woman have Lucius' child. It wouldn't be good for her or the child for that to happen.
Chapter 6:
I knew I would love Lump. He's a good dog to pee on Dawlish. I also was wondering if he would get into any mischeif, I guess I got my answer.
Aw, Severus walking his rounds with Lump... that was sweet.
Chapter 7:
"Both of us were used and manipulated by greedy, black-hearted men for their own ends and both of us have been left to scrape up the pieces. Whether we deserved it or not, and mind you, neither of us did, we are both damaged. But Severus, neither of us are broken. And before you protest at my supposed na

Chapter 9:
Somehow I got off on my chapter count. Just to let you know, I adored chapter 8.
I see that Snape is dodging our Muggle Studies teacher. I think he may be feeling more for her than he is comfortable expressing.
Well, I knew Draco had to find out, but what a brutal way for him to do it. Legilimens would be a horrible way to discover what a horrible rotter his father is. I hope things can get better for them.
Chapter 10:
Damn that Dumbledore and his untimely arrivals.
Chapter 11:
So Severus and Iris have the same idea about Harry. Hmmm... I hope Harry can learn something from Iris, and Snape too.
The fight between Malfoy and Nott was great, especially since it got Severus to send flowers.

Chapter 12:
Good observation about Severus' feelings for Lily. I think anyone, knowing his past would have to ask the same thing.
Beautiful end to the chapter, but poor Lump.
Chapter 13:
Of course snape has to be the one to secure the Horcrux. Dumbledore is good at using him like that, and damn anyone that might get hurt in the process.
Draco's turnaround is quite nice, especially since it got him away from that noxious weed, Pansy Parkinson.
Chapter 14:
Sweetness. I love that the story started out with an unwanted pregnancy and is now ending up with a wanted one.

All we can do is hope that Lockhart is sterile. I wouldn't want him to breed, would you?
I loved the irony of the Shrieking Shack becoming their dream house.
"I didn't know you were from MD, no. We were stationed at Aberdeen for a couple of years and I actually wound up graduating from Salisbury. Plus I had an aunt who lived in Indianhead, so we pretty much covered one side of the bay to the other. It's a cool place, Maryland. Loads better than Tejas, which I am stuck in currently."
I live about 30 miles NW of Baltimore in horse breeding country. We moved here 8 years ago and I think it's the most beautiful part of Maryland. My husband was assigned to APG for 3 1/2 years. We bought a condo in Edgewood and lived there during his assignment.
"Now what's this about a picture of Snape in a Hawaiian shirt?" It's a picture I found online and downloaded as wallpaper for my desktop. I've been using it for about a year now. I sent it to the email address on the John Cusack website the link on your profile took me to.

"All we can do is hope that Lockhart is sterile. I wouldn't want him to breed, would you?" Please no. Narcissa wouldn't want to ruin her figure; having Draco was bad enough.
"I loved the irony of the Shrieking Shack becoming their dream house." That was pure inspiration, that was. I also thought it was only right that Remus should help repair some of his damage. And Sev's tropical vacation was inspired too. I can just picture the hooked nose, slathered with sunscreen. *hee*
You do live in the prettiest part of MD. I got to stay closer to Salisbury most of the time with it's low flatness and stinky chickens. I would give my left pinky toe to be at Ocean City or Rehoboth right about now though.
I did get the pic finally and replied. Blast Lycos, I had actually updated my address on the account but for some reason that did not carry over to the domain emails getting forwarded. *sigh*

"I enjoyed Narcissa'a drunk scene, but I enjoyed even more the thought of her eloping with Gilderoy Lockhart. I'll bet that made Lucius turn even faster in his grave."
I had such fun writing about her. I figured she needed another blonde who was full of himself, soo...why not? For the good of Wizarding England, I did have them leave. I also considered having her enter a 12-step program, but now that she's deep in wine country why bother.
Luna is such a fun little space cadet, but I never did mention how she got on.
That stupid house system was severely dated, and practically made Hogwarts a caste system with Slytherin and Gryffindor battling for supremacy. Just caught me as silly, so yes, it had to go.

Update is, well...up!
And how funny, I'm an Army brat, but we've never stayed anywhere remotely interesting. All stateside, and all in the South. The step-dad went to Korea a couple of times, but he was too close to the parallel for family to go with him. I did like Maryland though. Still have friends there.
And I can't ever think of bangers and mash without wanting to giggle. It sounds like a euphemism. :)
