Interesting concept! And the normality that is portrayed in the other world's dealings, the intricate rules (of course teachers and students can fuck! But for fun and privately? No way.) and the acceptance of them even from the more sympathetic and soft characters makes for a good deal of dark humor.
I hope the Snape in "this" pseudo-canon world finally grows a spine and gets his cunning back in dealing with other-world!Hermione! It's rather pathetic that she has tricked and lead him around now, what? 3, 4 times? with the same strategy and him falling for it every time like a dimwitted fool. Especially when he has actually the better bargaining position (if he doesn't sabotage himself again) and could demand payment forefront after he learned how she operates.
I'm getting severely annoyed with him and start to think he's not much different from his ineffective Gryffindor-counterpart, actually.... And I hope that one will be able to abandon his softer nature and principles in Slytherin!Hermione's special case when she finally returns. ^_^

Alex: Aw, don't be so hard on our Snape. It's hard to barter with someone who can 'cut him off', which Bad!Hermione uses to keep him in check. He's neither soft or dim-witted, believe me. But there should be some similiarities between himself and the AU Snape in varying degrees, so I'm glad you're seeing those, even if they aren't stellar. :)

Thanks for the reply. I agree completely, soapbox and all! ;) And it's certainly a fun read.
I guess I have a bit of a problem with this Hermione just giving up her virginity for extra credit and to avoid point-loss, it seems such a au-Hermione thing to do. But maybe that's just me...
I don't have a problem with au-Hermione and our Snape, because he knows exactly what he's getting into, even if he doesn't like it (poor guy ::g::)

Luna Love: I think she is willing to have sex with Snape because
1)He turns her on
2) Maybe because he suffered for her and she feels compelled to do something to show her appreciation
3) Guilt (biggie)
4) Possibly because he makes her feel safe in a way. Not sure about that one.
I think the extra credit has very little to do with it really. The snogging happened because she wasn't willing to lose points, but she really enjoyed it and wanted to do a little more then, although Snape stuck to what was agreed on. But she didn't have to agree to this. She chose to. At least, that's how I'm looking at it. It's debatable though, so I leave it up to the reader as to what's going on. Thanks for commenting. ***

Seems like both of Snapes are running dry... Please let them do it at least once... Or even change worlds. OK, who am I kidding, you're going to do what you

First, I really love the complex double story. You've made the characters and their doubles distinctly different and it's been great reading so far! Keep it up!
@chapter 19. It really does sound very clinical; I'm not sure I like it at all. I first thought canon Hermione would be great with au Snape, and vice versa, but they are all so much the product of their world, I don't think they could really "connect". So, no matter how much I love the lemons you write, I kinda hope Hermione doesn't just give in...

luna love: You are spot on, girl. You know, nice Snape seems right for her in some ways, but he's a product of his world, like you say. The rules are different, and I doubt if he would love her in even the best situation. The same for the Slytherin Hermione. Draco's reaction to her being with Snape kind of cemented how she would be seen in that world as well as how callous she is concerning the feelings of others. Not that she means to be, but that's just how she is. In her world, that would be perfectly acceptable. Even our Snape is having a problem with just accepting what she does without strings. In his world, she would and should only dally with him. It's clear she thinks differently. Neither the AU Snape or Hermione belongs with our (relatively) canon versions. It could never work out satisfactorily for any of them in the long run . . . although there's something to be said for short, hot dalliances. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we all need more than quick fixes. They can be fine for the short term, but relationships should be special and have a true connection outside the physical. Yadda yadda. lol. :::hops off soapbox and hits it with a Reducto:::
I really didn't mean to go there. lol. But, still . . . the story can be fun, even with all the moralistic tripe I just spouted. Thanks for reading, ya'll. ***
