Oh, I really was hoping AU Severus would be at least a bit kinder. Accepting a call was definitely bad style, in any world. He should have given her a chaste kiss at the end and told her he was not allowed to do coddling or emotions into a relationship with a student. Part truths are always kinder than brutal honesty, and intelligent as Hermione is, she would get the gist but feel just a little better than this way.

That was a very powerful chapter, perhaps my favourite chapter you have ever written. The lemon was your usual first class writing, yet what made it stand out for me was the emotional tone of the chapter. As a reader I, like Hermione was taken from the highs of what seemed to be an intimate connection to the absolute lows of isolation. The final scene truly defined the differences of the two worlds and the fact that both Hermione's will never belong anywhere but in their own world. You have sewed the seeds for the future event of Hermione's return to 'our' world, and along with that, Snape and Hermione's changed opinions of each other. I am highly anticipating this, please get things back to normal soon!

Wow, canon-Snape is really a bastard, isn't he? Wasn't really squicked though. I liked his positive comment about canon-Hermione. Not sure he would feel the same knowing about her extra credit activities though.

Canon-Hermione doesn't seem to feel really safe with au-Snape. Wonder how that will go...

btw, I know you wrote in an earlier reply that extra credit has little to do with it anymore, but it's still sex for points, and to me (and maybe canon-Snape too) that doesn't really feel right.

Luna Love: No, it's not going to sit right with everyone, but rarely are fanfics strong on morality, particularly mine. Hermione is basically attracted and seduced. It's probably something she'd never do in her own world, but there's that saying . . . when in Rome. Plus, like I said, the wizard turns her on. Gaining extra credit is just a fun plot device to get the two together on my part. So take it with a grain of salt. I know I do. :) It's fantasy after all.

It wasn't about morality (no soapboxes were used when writing the review ^.~) but more about canon- vs au-Hermione, and the difference between them. I have no trouble whatsoever with the au-Hermione doing it in her world, cause that's just how it is there (though I wouldn't want to live there; I'm a brain-over-boob kind of girl myself).

I take all fanfic with a grain of salt, it's not RL after all, but your style and characters are really interesting and keep me, well, interested :)

First off, I want to say congratulations on your new grandchild. A new little one to spoil is truly a gift.

Now onto the chapter - it's good to see the sensual side of both Snapes, even though real-Snape's isn't foremost at present. I'm expecting him to make AU-Hermione howl as a result of her cavalier treatment of him. Perhaps their interlude will soften her up for future extra credits with AU-Snape.

Thanks so much for the update even though you are obviously overwhelmed by more important matters.
