Why don't you copy the current chapters of the site on to new word documents, then you won't have to re type the old chapters. But I guess you'll have to rewrite chapter 15. Looking forward to when you post the new chapter.

-.- Why does anyone save things ONLY on a flash drive? Sorry, I'm just disappointed, and just think I should tell you, always keep things saved in more than one place... I have just about everything on my computer is also backed up on my old computer...

I feel so sorry for you. ;___; The same thing just happened to me (or, at least it was similar). Much like you I had all of my stories/chapters on there, but what I'm really devastated about is the work I've got on there for my classes. Hopefully the people at the school will have found it, not some stranger. >>;;

why don't you make a back up? When I have important files (like my study work) and need print them I have them on my flash drive, my email (2 email in not the same server) and still on my notebook. It's importan that I have it in so many placec becouse IF I lost it I must go again on exercise make it again and pray that my teacher take it

Okay. I appreciate that you thought to give us all the heads up, BUT . . . I really would have been happier thinking you were just struggling to write this chapter, rather than that you have written it and lost it. It seems cruel, like snatching a present out of a child's hands. *Sob* BUT!! Don't get disheartened. Even if you can't bear to start rewriting chapter fifteen just yet, maybe you could begin work on chapter sixteen, so us poor sods here won't have to wait so long for THAT one. Like a consolation prize.

Anyway, sorry to hear about the lack of flash drive, and the general frustration. *Sends hugs to get creative juices flowing* And may I suggest a little physical intimidation to the interns? See if that turns anything up? ^-^

sorry to hear that. Disappointing to lose things like that but these things happen sometimes. If you had been working on ch 15 recently I think it would be best to start rewriting what you remember sooner rather than later. Its happened to me with assignments - if I have to retype for some reason I'm usually surprised by how much I remember. Must be even more the case as a writer who rewrites and must think thru everything - rather than me whose just writing yet ANOTHER sociology paper. So basically, I'm encouraging you to not wait too long - or you'll find you truly are starting all over again!
