Is she going to pick up on the fact that her mother called her a 'stepchild'?

T*: I doubt it. Delores doesn't know she's not Eileen's biological mother. She was referring to her husband, no doubt. I didn't write it, but I think they are a Dursleyish family. Her husband probably doesn't even know her daughter was a witch, if he knows she had a daughter at all.

I don't think Severus needs to worry about what Hermione will do if she finds out what he did. Eileen is the one he better watch out for because of the way he raised her. She's tough, vengeful and unforgiving and no one can hurt you the way someone you love can. I know from experience how badly a teenage girl can take it when she finds out she been lied to about her parentage. My sister made the same mistake with her daughter.

:) MHS: The emails weren't scathing really, more like disappointed . . . in that they didn't get together and that Snape took their child and raised her without Hermione's knowledge. He's too noble for that . . . in most stories. But not this one You know, I can see Hermione confronting him after finding out and asking why he did it, and his Hannibal-like reply:
"Quid pro quo, Hermione," the wizard replied without hesitation or remorse, "a life for a life."

This was a wonderful story. I think a sequel would be great because I believe that Hermione should figure out that Snape's daughter looks too familiar and seeks to learn just what it was that he took from her. Then she could get upset with him for not telling her the truth. Even if Severus and Hermione don't love each other, I think that Eileen deserves to know who her mother is as well and that she has a half-brother and a half-sister.

I know that you have had some scathing email comments about this fic, but to be quite honest...I liked it. It was sort of twisted that he stole their future child from her, but the fact that all he wanted was someone to love and who would love him unconditional in return was sort of sweet...even though he resorted to trickery and subterfuge to get what he wanted.
Excellent fic, as always Ms_Figg!
