AH so it finally ends, I've got mixed feelings about this. I'm happy to see that they now have a happy life and yet its sad to see that this story has finally come to an end. It truly has been a great read

Well. We're here at last. From the very beggining, back in may ,I've been delighted with this beatifully written story. It has keeping me company all this months, hoping to find a new chapter every night I happened to be in the internet. Your Severus is really wanderful and very believable.I'm not good at reviewing, but I'd like to thank you very, very much for your story and also for being magnanimous enough to share it with all of us.
I've already start Proof of Life.I believe I' d like it asa much as Ashes.Go on and my best wishes for the New Year.

I honestly can't find the words to do this story any justice...at all. There were so many pieces that fit, that made me gasp, come close to tears and smile in contentment like Severus did in the end. (Which was a wonderful and just right) You developed each of the characters, faults and all, beautifully and managed to bring me personally on another level of understanding with them, there's nothing that shows off a writer's talent more than their ability to bring the reader on the same emotional ride as the characters. I enjoy your writing so much, I look forward to more. Thank you for sharing your work.

Absolutely loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Killing Harry off would not have worked for me, or probably most of us. Thanks to you and SoftObsidian74 for the rest of the story and the ending. There is still enough left unsaid about Al to make us wonder, Severus and Harry are happy, the extended family is still there, it is a great ending.

From where they all began with pain and suffering, to determination and friendship, and finally family and love, whether what you had intended to write, it turned into a story that everyone should admire. Extremely well written characters, with full lives, strenths and flaws.

Few of us have had to suffer as much as your characters, but do go through anywhere from "normal" to extremely hard times of our own. It is good to read a story that depicts strong friendships, family, and determination. It reminds us to try for that happy ending, even if some of it is still unkown and is never going to be perfect or sometimes even work out at all. Such is life, it is never a complete happy ending, but the fight and determination to achieve the best you can is what keeps most of us going.

That said, it was just a hell of a good story, good sex, good fights, good agnst, good make up sessions, just really good!

Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to everything you write!

I have followed this story since seeing a rec on the yahoo group loose canon. Though usually slash, and the kind of torture present in the first half are not my thing, I continued to read and be impressed with the scope of your story and how well you were handling difficult and sensitive material. The things that strike me most now looking back are how you characterized Neville (hidden depths of courage and ruthlessness, carried forward at times by fierce loyalty), the understated friendship between Severus and Hermione and the conspirators in part 1, and now the way you have brought the series to a close with Severus articulating for young Al the same truth that was such an underlying part of canon-- the protection that comes from a mother's love, and here, love in general. It's a testament to how well you handled these characters that even though I cannot really buy Severus and Harry as lovers, I can buy everything else about this universe. Really well done indeed. Thanks for sharing it.
