they better not hurt my Harry. those traitorous bastards! Despite them saying that they care and love Harry, they sure reached the decision to kill him really quick.

cloudshape: Wow. Good guesses! Most of them, spot-on. I promise I won't abandon the story.
THe ending is already in my mind.
cravedom: Giggles wasn't quite the reaction I was going for in the last chapter, but I
guess that's what you get when you deviate into the grotesque and bizzare!
Luvdonite: I appreciate that you care for Harry, and I am glad you do - because at this point,
I myself am pretty pissed at him, to the point of wanting to murder him in the story. Anyways, it was
not my intention to portray the new trio (Ron, Hermione and Neville) as traitors or cold-blooded murderers.
I mean, they've been trying to help Harry and reason with him for FIVE years. As a reward, he punched Ron and nearly
sent Neville to Azkaban just for trying to write an article. They've tried all the medical and
magical ways. But now, he's torturing an innocent person to the point of insanity and will likely create
a Horcrux anytime so that he could kill Snape unpunished. I don't think the decision to fight to the death
was reached easily or lightly; at least it was not my intent to portray it this way. What else could they do, now
that there's almost nothing of Harry left, and what's left is Voldemort's personality living in his body?

But, but, Harry has the Elder wand... and loads of experience. Fighting him in pitched battle really isn't a good plan, especially when one of you can't fight without going off his rocker. This so can't be good.
On a different note, do you know, approximately, how many chapters this'll be when all is said and done?

Brilliant Emily. This story has come full circle. You explained everything so perfectly and now the ante is up...I love a determined gutsy Hermione. I'm worried for her child and well, frankly all of them. Harry is gonna get them. : ) But at least we have the hope of his fear of the Horcrux killers to see us through to the inevitable confrontation. However, how can they match the owner of the Elder Wand? I'm sure you'll figure out something brilliant and leave me surprised as always. AWESOME chapter : )

Review for chapter 20-24
Wow those chapters were amazing. In the first three chapters I noticed that it was getting darker and darker yet that darkness was somehow sensual, drawing in the reader and I just loved that. The suddenly in chapter 24, a ray of light comes in and changes the entire mood, that would usually seem sudden but with the way you wrote it, it seemed very fitting. You know I really thought that George had actually changed his mind but it was a nice twist that that Goerge was actually Neville. You know I am curious as to what Neville said to Harry that allowed him to take Severus away and I guess that potion they created really worked well

I was doing all kinds of wiggling and giggling and other things that are undignified and may also end in ggling while reading this. I have not been this excited since I saw the previews to The Secretary. I love that you follow a logical creative line (is that an oxymoron?) I am having a ball trying to figure out everything that is happening and have all this guesses that I can

I have been following this story for a while yet, but usually don't review. Well, this is getting better and better and I just have to let you know how much I admire your style. This is so wonderfully dark (although I very much hope you will have a happy-ending eventually). The characters are perfectly in-character and the story is believable and full of surprises. The moment when Harry strokes Severus' hair after the gangrape and how Severus almost gives in was absolutely heart wrenching. I love that you let him keep as much dignity and pride as possible in this hell.
You seem to like your reviewers guessing, so I'll venture a few guesses as well:
- George will help Severus, either by himself or bring him to Ron/Hermione/Neville
- Harry is acting so weird because Voldemort's soul fragment inside him hasn't died and now starts to take control of him
- no clue what happend to Dumbledore's soul or portrait, but can't wait to get a few clues; howewer, I don't think it's something he did to himself
- when all of this is over and Severus as well as Harry are saved, they will get together eventually; Ginny will come back, but not live with Harry anymore (I don't think I'll be too happy about that, I'd rather see Ginny with Harry and their child and have Severus get over his feelings for Harry and find someone else with whom to be happy - but so what, it's your story and I'll love it either way!)
- Hagrid is together with his brother, they may have gone to the tribe where his brother grew up
- Neville and Luna will be together again, as soon as all of this is over
Just never abandon this story please and keep up the frequent updates. Oh, and could you at some point have Hermione comfort/cuddle poor Severus? Just friendshipewise of course - no sexual touch to it (as if poor Severus would need that right now!), but I so love the more intimate moments between them. And although Severus is a very strong person, he shouldn't be able to recover to quickly after this ordeal is over, it's just to extreme what he had (and maybe will have?) to go through. I'll look daily for the next update.
