Did Harry not give Snape absolution of the soul at King's Cross? Is that what Snape needs? Needs to heal the wounds of his soul? I'm a bit confused on that, although I otherwise has guessed what the content of his dreams were. Hugo has a wand? I thought he was only 8... Maybe I didn't understand that bit with the books, although it would figure that he would know that spell. I'm really glad for Hermione all of a sudden, even though before I was chastising her character for being so weak and reliant on Snape when Harry was Tom. Looking forward to more as always.

linagabriev: The absolution Severus received at King's Cross was for murdering Dumbledore. However, nothing healed the emotional injuries he received from Tom/Harry hybrid. And b/c of the slave-bond (no matter how relaxed, or benign) Severus is still not fully "free" and only Harry can bring about that emotional healing.
moma: No, the bond wasn't transferred to Al. It can't be, not until Al is of age. (about 14 or so). Al cried for another reason.

Some of the chapters were really heavy... but I suppose I should have known before *G*
Nevertheless I enjoyed reading the FF very much. :) I must say I hate violance, but when there is still hope that things will change and it's written this great, then it's different... somehow. O.o So now I'm glad that Harry is himself again. I hadn't thought he would choose the way back to life this time... I think I wouldn't have. But perhaps the spot between life and death is more peaceful than I can imagine. ^^
Now I hope there will truly be less violant chapters. ^^ I think I had enough of violence for the next weeks *G*
You know, it's really sick that you're able to write something like this. But nevertheless I adore you for being able to think of such brutal things and write them down in such way. :)
I'm quite sure I will enjoy the second book :)

I love this! The feeling of the entire story was well done, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can't wait for the next chapter!

That's a great job. Great story! This chapter was so great, it gave everything Severus deserved. I find it brilliant how he took the whole responsibility on his own shoulders, taking as much weight from Harry

Seven for surviving Nagini is probably reasonable, if you take a ten as "irretrievably dead" and eight and nine as varying degrees of permanent disability.
On the whole, he's coping well, except that the sudden flashback/vomitting fit still bodes ill for any future relationship with Harry, because it shows he can be freaked without warning by a sudden reminder.
I had a look at Bonds of Affection and must confess I didn't like it much - it seemed to be a story where the characters' natures and the plot itself had been bent well out of shape to force them into the mould of the x-rated story you wanted to tell. But this one, so far, is really excellent - everything flows naturally from canon, once you make the AU tweak about Harry not properly dying when Tom killed him at the end of DH, and the characters are all very much *in* character. In this chapter I especially liked Snape still being willfully aggravating even when he was desperately sick, and the detail about his having done a decent initial job of healing on himself, and then neglecting to follow it up until he got an infection because he was too self-denying or too much of a macho idiot to seek help. This perfectly mirrors what must have happened in PS, when the Trio see him still with an oozy Cerberus-bite ten days after his encounter with Fluffy.

Rate of damage 4, Nagini's bite 7 out of 10... Severus is a master of understatement. I feel so sorry for both Harry and Severus. They are both walking on eggshells around each other... and they feel the old wounds, now more than ever, I guess. And Neville was again just great. I'm happy he is finally working with his beloved plants. Duelling practise with Minerva... LOL! Just perfect, stiff and formal, but great, I guess.

Very nice continuation, with realistic passing of time, and deepening of relationships. I especially like how Hermione becomes like a daughter to Severus, and how he doesn't mind, though he never would admit it. I'm exploring a different kind of father daughter dynamic with those two in my current wip, "In Loco Parentis" on ff net. I've often thought a father and an adult daughter kind of relationship between them would be an interesting dynamic to explore, for all that so many fanfic writers want to pair them up.
At any rate, look forward to more soon. Is this story complete in draft and just being polished as it's posted? If you're writing this on the fly, I am even more impressed than before. But if you have got it set, I'm still highly impressed with the level of skill and craft and thoughtful planning here. Really outstanding.
