Snape isn't quite ready yet to trust Harry enough to receive pleasure; but I suspect that will come another time. I like Hermione's ever so subtle way of letting Severus know who's coming .

Very well-done and convincing, especially the way that Harry is trying to be nice, and yet is inadvertently crowding Severus into a flashback. And Harry is almost bound to sound possessive at times - he probably has a ravening scaly chest-monster of jealousy, just like the one he had for Cho....

Three typoes -


mortified of his descent - should be "...by his descent".

The vulnerability of having someone else in his own home, in his bed, absolutely nerve-shattering. - there seems to be a word missing, probably "was" as in "...his bed, was absolutely..."

drifted off into a sate - since there's no noun-form of sate, this must have been meant to be "state".

Oh, my, God. Your story just gets better and better as each chapter develops. I love the story, and I love you for writing it.

I know I've already told you this but I love this chapter because of the way you give some insight into what Sev is experiencing right now. He's at a very vulnerable place yet he has to fight to hold onto his himself and dignity by clinging to this facade, which we see towards the end starting to crumple as his memories of what happened are triggered. I loved that he's a bit demanding in his need and expectations of Harry yet it's more out of fear and insecurity about being rejected or losing what he has more than anything. Poor Harry, he's probably guilt ridden and confused as hell. Can't wait to see how they move past this or use this to evolve....if they can.

Oh wow. Snape can never catch a break. That was a little eerie to read Snape saying "Forgive me, Master" after all that has happened.

More foreshadowing to an end or alteration to the contract? Getting exciting. These scenes are so sweet, giving me more of a contented smile, than a blush to my cheeks in the way you approach them. Wonderful job.

A very perceptive chapter. Violence infected them all during the war, and after it. One wonders how Hermione is holding up--is she healing, or merely holding it together for everybody else?
