Another amazing chapter written by the equally amazing Emily Waters.
The whole forgiveness scene was extremely powerful. When Harry said "Go on.", I was like "Oh crap, what's Harry up to?" But my favorite part was "Severus stared down, barely able to comprehend what just happened. Somehow, Harry took his entire life-story and re-told it in a new way, granting an understanding and acceptance that he had never believed possible." Beautiful.
And UST doesn't even begin to describe what's going between Harry and Sev ;). Don't worry about finishing at a lightning pace because forced stories always come out as crap, and this is way too gorgeous of a story to be ruined like that.
Great chapter!!

I like the conversations that take place in this chapter. You do a great job of conveying Sev's self loathing and his need to be repentent without making him a blubbering wuss. Harry's forgiveness and retelling was brilliantly done, I only hope that Sev can really accept them. I really like the flashbacks to Dumbledore and his explanation of the convenant. Nicely done, and the way you don't quite make Dumbledore good or evil but more complex depending on who's talking about him in this chapter. Great addition and a good step forward in their relationship. Let's hope they keep evolving into something more like real lovers. I can't wait to see how this convenant plays out.

Hmm, I'm glad you made Harry state again how awful Dumbledore was being when he told Snape he was disgusting, after Snape pleaded for the protection of Lily's life. 15 more chapters? I'm surprised by that, but I look forward to this new change of the bond. I assume there are other covenants that can be formed, but I'm guess Hermione might act as Guardian? Something makes me think it COULD be Neville, but I'm not sure about that. Very sweet ending to this chapter too by the way, nice job.

A painful & surprising turn of events... I guess I didn't see that coming. Will a covenant really be enough? ('course I don't know what your idea of a covenant is).
So well written. Looking forward to your next chapter.

Hmm. Well, it's probably inevitable that sharing his head with Tom for nearly all his life, and most intensely for the past few years, would have left an imprint on Harry himself. He's been conditioned.
As a successful Occlumens, Snape must have a very good understanding of the contents of his own head. Harry, on the other hand, judging from what we see in the books, has almost no inner life. He thinks, to an extent, but he doesn't think about thinking.
It's probably inevitable, then, that when Harry is asked about something like this he will play it down and avoid talking about it. Snape - as somebody acutely self-aware - will assume that Harry is being secretive and evasive and is intentionally excluding his lowly slave, whereas in fact Harry is probably ducking the question because he's never thought much about it, and doesn't have the self-knowledge or the vocabulary to start now.

Awesome chapter.
It's interesting to see the typical Gryffindor tendencies (naivety, etc) mixed up with the connection of pleasure and power in Harry even after the fragment is gone.
Great writing!
