lol, I'm a teacher of young children. Even with them, you have to own your authority. When you command, it has to be said with the full belief that your instructions will be followed. You have to believe, even in a room full of chaos and experience that tells you otherwise. They will plow you under otherwise. Hermione has certainly taken this and expanded on it. I'm glad I didn't have her for an instructor.

A Snape-ish way to set those brats straight. Awesome!

This was as complicated and raw as I would expect from a confrontation of this kind. I can't wait to see how you resolve it. Although, given Severus' temperment, it will probably take a death, a pregnancy, or the rise of some evil to drag him out of his dungeon. **giggle**

Sorry to hear the muse is AWOL. Thanks for updating anyway; it's very much appreciated! I hope you find a good way to get these two together.

For a chapter that you wrote "museless," it's pretty damned good. As a matter of fact, it was great. And for me was the most satisfying chapter of the story so far.

So maybe your muse is just hiding under a disillusionment cloak of its own and playing hard-to-get or some such.

Ch.11 - Well I thought it was just right. Severus teaming with anger and guilt. Trying to find some sense of "normalcy", even if it is darkness and lonliness that he is acustomed to.

I would very much like to see more on his motives for saving her, offering her the option that he did. Would he have done the same for any other girl? Why, or why not? Is that part of what is eating at him? Also, what of Hermione? She obviously sees him as her savior and of course I'm in this genre because I want the two to "get together". How does Hermione feel about Sev's pity party? She isn't in love with him yet, and there is no lust there yet. I would almost see some kind of further tragedy occurring that throws the two together, or a projet , or there would have to be strong feelings of jelousy perhaps that awakens feelings that have previously been unrealized. What happens once term begins? How does he conduct himself as an istructor? Are there any new teachers? Perhaps female?

Anyway...I am waaaayyyy too hooked on this story and your writing style. I check this silly site every few hours looking for updates. I hope your muse has a cup of Earl Grey and perks up soon.

Even museless, it was well-written and keeps us wondering how they'll get together. I am most interested to see who pursues who. If Hermione won't take no for an answer or if Snape decides to reclaim his life and happiness, or maybe both or maybe neither. Either way, I can't wait :)
