Everyone is entitled to a little whining. I hope everything goes well at your appointments. Lol I really don't know which is funnier, Snape inquiring about the bonus (greedy...) or McGonagall telling him it's the "satisfaction." And now he's been saddled with Hermione (so to speak). That'll be good to see lol. Great chapter, I can hardly wait for the next! By the way, do I sense a little Rita trouble on the way? Lol feel better soon!

I think Minerva's brusk reply and fair treatment was exactly what Snape could accept in the way of gratitude. I love how he accepts her actions and that in his own reserved way seems to be touched by her belief that he deserves to BE treated fairly. Nicely subtle.

I've been enjoying this story. Unfortunately, this will be my last reading for 40 days as I'm giving up my "dirty Potter" (as my hubby likes to jokenly call it) for Lent. Hopefully, that just means I'll have lots to catch up on. Thanks!
