I normally love your stories but I'm finding that the OC's seem to have taken over the story. I know that you want us to get to know them but when you post in the SS/HG category, I would have expected that SS/HG would have more screen time.

Can't get into this story for that reason but I think it's great that you're branching out and trying new things.

To Reviewer: Might I suggest if you don't want to read anything remotely appealing to "teenage boyz" that you stay away from a Harry Potter based fanfic site. Hello.

lol. I'm just writing dear. Coolness or non-coolness is in the eye of the reader. But, I will recount what I wrote in my journal about potsmoking sorcerers:

I used to be the webmaster for Amityville.com, before my boss Frank G. sold it to the Village of Amityville. It was the most comprehensive site about Amityville (yes, of horror fame) on the internet. We had music, songs, pictures of the parade . . . it was a hype site. But of course I included an "Amityville Horror" section, simply because there were so many questions about it. But I digress from the topic.

Frank was in his mid to late sixties, a successful businessman and he designed technical schematics, used to travel all over the world. He helped me to move to Alabama. Anyway, I remember the first time I entered his office in the back of his house. It was a separate little building and it stunk to HIGH HEAVEN of weed. I was amazed. He was approaching seventy and burned weed. He had a prominent lawyer friend who used to smoke with him, someone very respected in the community. Good thing the bar doesn't drug test. Personally I don't smoke it, it makes me stupid. lol. But ever since then I've been of the mind that perfectly successful and good people can be potheads. I've even had Snape imbibe, although he prefers to drink it in concentrated form so the scent doesn't linger on him And that brings to mind Miss Laura, a former neighbor of mine who lives in NY. She's in her eighties and she still goes to Sharika's house and smokes weed, she was there when I called the children's father last week, chuckling in the background. Just felt like sharing this. :)

Miss Figg: This is very different than your usual writing, but I enjoy the story and don't find it boring. Sometimes to me your writing comes off as as a bit friviolous, not to say the stories aren't enjoyable, just too light concerning serious matters. You have an odd, off-beat sense of humor inserting it at weird moments. I disagree with a fan's estimation of the character description. These are new characters and the direct approach seems best. I see them clearly in my head. The story doesn't feel rushed to me, but you aren't dancing through it willy nilly this time. I don't think the interactions are heavy at all. If you were to go straight to the promised action without establishing some kind of connection, it would seem contrived. I apprecate the work you are doing and want to commend you on accepting criticism so gracefully. Mostly you get SQUEE reviews. It's good to see you can handle ones that aren't SQUEES.

lr: This story is getting mixed reactions. Some like it, some love it, some hate it. That's how it is with every story I think, just that people don't express it. I write what I enjoy primarily and I am enjoying this story, although it's not coming easy at all. I'm paying attention to what's being said about it. As for my weird humor, lol, that's just me. I find the strangest things funny and see humor in almost everything. Glad you are enjoying the story. Thanks for commenting.
