about #15...
*inhales deeply and exhales..* Ahh, there's NOTHING more refreshing than seeing
Draco's Slytherin side come out to 'play'. Of course, the Ravenclaw-in-disguise,
Hermione, did a pretty good job, too.
You know, you ought to let Draco flex his muscles more, I would think he'd
enjoy it.

Closing in indeed... hilarious how the interview playing out, the poor Auror was so non-plussed, he didn't even think to act. And I have the feeling that his own righteousness will let him stumble over his own feet all the way to Harry's trial.
Also the situation with Diggory, that's going to be so entertaining when the recording gets to go into the right hands *g* I hope he chokes on his own spit. Can't wait for the Prophet!!

What a terrible way to end a chapter... Rita Skeeter actually seems to be on Harry's side for once and then you just stop?? Haha, I love it.

Well, well, well.. I'm sure when we see the damage they're going to do to Lucius; it will be great (in every sence of the word...) But having Rita Skeeter once again on Harry's side for whatever reason is just hilarious!! I can't wait for the Aurors to react to that one!! My... I love it!!

I like how the relationship between Hermione and Draco has apparently developped further without Harry present, it stands on its own two feet now, so to speak.
The long-term effects of that spell sound interesting. It looks like Harry will have to live through bouts of what he used to fear about himself, and maybe still does to a certain extent? Sounds like a test, in a way.
Mordant indeed. I love all those names. This lady sounds less dangerous than her name though.
I love how you bring out Hermione, the scholar who will wonder about gooseberries when her best friend

Go Draco! woot! That was just awesome! I can only hope that Draco can make Harry see that he loves him and is more devoted to him than to his parents. I just love Harry! He is so infuritatingly good! Even Hermione was a little frustrated with him. Haha! Thanks for updating!

Sheesh... that's going to put a dumper on the Malfoys.. don't even want to know what devious scheme Millicent and Hermione will cook up together, but it's going to be earthquaking for sure. Ahhhh.. what truely allencompassing drama...

Now that I've finally caught up with your AFF.net stories, I'm afraid I have a confession to make:
I've stopped reading "Changing of the Guard". I loved the premise, and I like your treatment of both Draco and Harry (along with most of the supporting characters), but the model of politics you were using just got distracting for someone who's been involved with subversive political action (including but not limited to the queer-liberation movement) for a number of years -- it just wasn't quite believable.
With the "A Potion Named Desire"/"An Alchemical Discontent"/"A More Worldly Man" series, it feels like you're playing more to your strengths. I still stumble over the occasional misused word or odd turn of phrase, but I know that in fanfiction you don't quite have the benefit of an editorial staff. Do you have original work on the same scale? It seems like it would be an easy transition for you. (On the other hand, I do love your H/D stuff...so don't stop!)
