I'm enjoying your tale very much! And am in awe of your incredible update-speed!

However in this chapter you might remember that Harry Potter is NOT playing out in America. Hermione wouldn't be allowed to drive a car at age 16 in Great Britain (as in the rest of Europe too btw), nor would parents make such a gift at that age. The minimum age for obtaining a driving license is 17 in the United Kingdom!
So you might want to change the age for Hermione's birthday gift: which should be easy since Hermione is nearly a year older than Harry and was 12 years old already 3 weeks into her first year. She thus came of age near the beginning of their 6th year (September 19th)!

I also have a hard time seeing a civilian GPS device in the form you described being available in 1997... A surprisingly large number of authors seem to forget the canon timeline in which HP plays out and the availability (or lack of!) of certain technologies compared to now. But I'm willing to suspend my disbelieve there :-) After all it's not as if you gave teen!Severus an MP3-player or mobile phone in 1978... which I've seen done.

First of all, GPS tracking? Bloody brilliant you are! Second of all, where the hell are they going? And do Hermione and Ron have to go with him...I have a bad feeling about this....

Thank you! Another reader already advised me re: driving regulations, so I will fix that age problem shortly. As for GPS, I wondered aobut that too, so I consulted some sources, and it appears that this type of technology was already available in mid 90's, (in fact the technology was there already in mid 80's although in more primitive form), but I assumed it was a lot more expensive than it is now, so it would require the sale of a car (and possibly Hermione posing as a conservationist ... or just flashing a big wad of money :) )

Thank you so much again!

YOU CANNOT KILL SEVERUS...you heard? lol. I know this can't be permanent...or real...so I'm not gonna get upset : ) no no no. : )

I love your Lucius BTW, he's so damn amoral, evil, and intriguing...almost a scene stealer. That being said, I hope he dies a horrible death at the end. I did love his line to Severus about being in hell and a blizzard coming his way. OUCH!!

OK, now bring Severus back.....

Wait...as happy as I am that there's hope...how did that happen? Why didn't the AK kill him? I'm glad Lucius will never use his wand again....I hope he wakes up in a coffin somewhere in the middle of nowhere..lol. I'm worried about Harry using this spell....it had bad consequences before...there's something you're not telling us...as usual...lol. Update soon!
