This was so beautiful... I can't stop crying... I looked for the song and heard it while reading...I just can't stop crying...Great Story...

FINALLY, a song fic where I actually recognize the song!!! Yep, I'm a country music fan, and I remember the first time that I heard this song on the radio. It put a lump in my throat. Your fic also put a lump in my throat. It is such a touching and heartfelt one-shot. I never would have thought to use this song for a HP fic; so, you are awarded extra points for being creative.

My favorite part is when Draco shows up with his bald head. We all know how vain Draco is about his hair; so, this is the BEST way to demonstrate that he really loves Hermione. (SNIFFLE!!!). It's such a SWEET gesture on his part. This is such a lovely fic. Good job!!!

It was a really good story, but jut because I am me (and i have a fiance with cancer) I personally think that you should give her illness a name. Like my fiance has chronic myelogenous leukemia (its a lot and hard to spell i think i botched it.. but its CML). With the whole bruises thing your probably thinking of a leukemia.. there is another form of it too AML...its the acute form of the other. I went to HS with a girl that had AML and they found it because of the bruises. So your best bet is to give it a name... makes it more personal.

This is really a unique and lovely story. I would encourage you to post it at GrangerEnchanted, and FF.net. You don't even really need to put the song lyrics in between the story paragraphs. Just a few lines at the beginning, and at the end would do, fine. As I said, it's really a lovely story. :D

that was so bittersweet, but well written. i have never heard that song before, but the lyrics actually brought tears to my eyes. perhaps you'll consider a happily ever after sequel??
