I think you're confused about what Consort means. I've noticed over the course of several of your fics you seem to have it mean courtesan. Consort means Spouse. So Vashti telling Victor she needs a king not a husband is a bit confusing.

Confused: Don't be confused. There are several definitions for consort. I use the one that means "companion or partner." Not spouse.
1.A husband or wife, especially the spouse of a monarch.
2.A companion or partner.
3.A ship accompanying another in travel.
4.Partnership; association: governed in consort with her advisers.
5.A group; a company: a consort of fellow diplomats.
6.Music.
a.An instrumental ensemble.
b.An ensemble using instruments of the same family.
It could be "especially the spouse of a monarch" but doesn't have to necessarily be.

I'm glad you decided to keep the story Severus/Hermione--I tried reading the re-write, but everything just seemed off, because I already read the story in the Harry Potter universe and the same vampire lore was being used. This is such a wonderful story--you developed your vampire lore and hierarchy quite well, and came up with convincing premises for Hermione and Adam and Severus and the lustful vampires. Besides, all the chicks chasing relentlessly after Severus is pretty darn funny. Plus Hermione's attempts to resist are a hoot. And we all love Adam.

Chapter 11....what a sneaky bastard! lol.This is going to prove interesting, and fun. Serverus is going to have to protect the object of his desire. I'm so glad that this is a complete story Ms Figg.
