Ruth,
I hate to see you go, but I look forward to reading all of your published works. I will be able to look back and say...I knew her when. Its a sad ending to a wonderful ride. Your stories always had me captivated and eager for the next chapter. I am already feeling the tug of regret that I will never read again about your wonderful characters.
So...I have to say goodbye to Marcus, Adam, Vincent and all of the guys that you so masterfully created!
Blessed be, Ruth...and walk with grace. I will be looking for your books in the future!

Your unique take on the SS/HG relationship and their world -- and of course, their sex life -- will be missed. Thank you so much for sharing your visions of them with us for the last few years. All the best in your future endeavors! {{Ruth}}

Wow. I'm always late to the party. I discovered you and your fanfiction after DH. I'm grateful for the multitude of fics you leave behind for me to read and re-read. Thank you for the countless hours of enjoyment. Even inspiring me to add to the Ron Weasley fic. *smiles*
I wish you the very best of good fortune on your new journey. You have a wonderful talent and it is only appropriate that it be shared with a larger audience.
Bless!

I never thought I'd see the day... I really should have expected it though. Early this morning I found myself randomly thinking of you and your original characters and then this afternoon I scrolled through your works and sat down to read Death Be Not Unkind. You haven't finished it yet, I wondered if you would. While I had been reading Harry Potter fanfiction, and even SS/HG for quite some time, I wasn't addicted until I found you. I'll miss you terribly. I'll miss your original characters and I'll especially miss your Hermione and Severus. I've always loved Severus but in your stories I really fell IN love with him. Thank you. If I could I would certainly award you an Order of Merlin First Class, but I'm sorry to say I can't. My husband makes fun of me for my love of Snape and aff, he's picking on me even now for this. It may be silly but your stories mean a lot to me Ms. Figg. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. We'll miss you and for a while I know that we'll check the latest stories for an update from you and then we'll remember, "she's gone". It's not like you've died or anything but things will still never be the same.
I know I'm rambling but it's just such a shock. I just want you to know that even in a small way, your writing has changed the world.

Ms. Figg, I have read your Live Journal post and I can understand your reasons for letting it go. I know you've read the same kind of thing over and over in many different variations but... I'll miss you. I've been a secret reader, leaving reviews here and there, but never really telling how much of an impact you had on me. Truly, you are a talented writer, able to draw laughs and tears out of your readers like very few writers can. I truly wish you all the luck, and I will continue to read your old stories and relive the wonderful moments you have given me.. (all of us Figg worshippers) with your words. I hope that you will actually come to print stories- it would be amazing if you were to write romance novels and sell them. Honestly, your work is just as effective to me and so much more fun than Nora Roberts' novels or etc... Anyway, I'll miss looking for new stories under your name, but be warned- I will keep tabs on you to see your new fictional site with Dahlia Joiner lol. Sounds really amazing. I'll miss you so very much though, I'm a weepy bucket :'(
