WOW!!!

I have to tell you - you are an AMAZING writer. Your Harry is so incredibly real, his emotions and responses ping pong so perfectly - cannon Harry in a situation cannon Harry never came close to. Your Snape is wonderful; dry and snarky and mysterious, but still faintly trapped and yearning at the same time. I LOVE his choice in fiction and the way he finds those themes running through his and Harry's struggles to survive. Your setting is vivid and full of wonderful details (I can almost taste that mysterious orange fruit) but your writing is so sharp and spare, it never gets overblown or relies on overly precious or gratuitous observations. I was intrigued by your title and completely sucked in by the third paragragh, and now I can't begin to tell you how much I'm looking forward to reading the rest after this chapter! I'm dying to know what Snape has in mind for Harry and how Harry's going to pull it off. My mind wandered down a simular fictional path to the one your story is following while I was waiting for DH to arrive, so it's like having another ending to look forward to. Thanks so much for posting this here - I hope you're getting the landslide of positive feedback you deserve.
