Blood's non-Newtonian, and it's what I'm looking at for my final 3rd year project. Custard is also non-Newtonian, if you're interested.
As for no colouring from the sun, all I have to do is look in the mirror, you can see the veins at my temples I'm that pale. I take one look at the sun, burn and then go back to drip-white. I used to be able to count all my freckes on my fingers; I've quite a few more these days from the sun, but I've always been very pale. Burning on my nose and cheekbones has given me more freckles to add colour, Even two weeks in the med or Tunisia has me coming home no more tanned than I set off! My back tans a bit, as does my tummy - but you can hardly tell. Though, I spent all last year rather ill, and I think I'm still recovering from that. I like to think of myself as pale and interesting - but my baby does sometimes call me 'death warmed up' on a morning. My colouring comes out of a bottle, and only when I can be bothered to rub the stuff in. I'm sot of a peachy-magnolia shade all over. My Mum's the same, but she spends time under one of those UV sunbeds to give her a slight tan - but I won't go near them as (a)they're bad for you and (b)they make me claustrophobic and want to run a mile (and when you're naked, that's not a good plan)... and I'm completely off topic... back to the fic, lol.
Painting ahead? One of them's an artist? eh?

At least he's got the sense to know she's sore and abstain a bit for her comfort. A girl likes a fella like that.

No seriously, she was in control through that and Lucius was pretty much passive. His hand position behind his head was a submissive one (and if I recall my readings on such things and various documentories, it's a position of 'questioning'). If Lucius had been the dominant one, he'd have been giving more instructions and his hands would have been placed differently.
He was sat sorta sprawled out on the little sofa thing, and sitting like that with your legs spread is very submissive - you're letting someone have total control of you - all it needs is for her to grab his knees and push and he can't close his legs to stop her. It's a very vulnerable pose. Yeah, I'm glad I'm not at work. I think both assumed the dominant role in this scene. Lucius is more demonstrative in his dominance while Hermione is moe subtle. Both approaches work well for their mates. I can't imagine Lucius wanting a dominant mate that shows it in any other way but the way she does show it.
I also think Hermione, who can be bossy, inflexible and pendantic, wants to be dominated at least in the bedroom. She needs a masterful Lucius (Well, don't we all?) at least in the bedroom. I would hate to see him try it elsewhere.

It could be said that while the submissive is on the receiving end of the punishments, they are the ones who are really in control. That being said I think Hermione was the one in control, from the tickling to riding Lucius to completion. Love your lemons, bring more and we can do something fabulous with them.

Hey!!! I read the story for the mystery!!! ....... *giggle*snort*giggle* all right fine... I don't read your stories for anything besides the smut. Sheesh! Is this such a crime! No! I don't think so! ;) Anyways I look at the plot you give your stories as the extra whipped cream to the already perfect banana split. We are already quite happy with the banana split but we could never say no to extra whipped cream. Especially if it is Lucius who is holding the can of whipped cream!!!!!!! I think they alternated a bit being dominant. And if she was as aroused as you described, the sore rear just made it all that much more intense. I like that Lucius took the lead and then let her do things her own way. And I enjoyed the way she was teasing him.

I'm glad Lucius got an explanation of The Wizard of Auds, even if he did worry about losing face. I think he needs a bit more knowledge of Muggle culture if he isn't going to fall victim to many more of these misunderstandings.
The story is moving on nicely - I do have to wonder what Lucius had in mind when he mentioned re-enacting one of the more outre paintings though...
