Dear Lucius may have turned over a new leaf, but it is still from the same tree (lucky for Hermione). So glad he is taking his time or he would have ended up with a wife that was not anxious to give freely to him, I don't think. And I am so glad that you have her correcting/explaining when he thinks that what she says is a slur to him, when it is, in reality, compliment. Well, have to hurry to next chapter now ;). p

OH MY LORD!!!! p

Is there a reason that they could not go to the Malfoys? If they are all magical, you would think that they would understand being sent back or some other explanation and one would expect that LM knows enough of their history to prove it to them. Of course, if they are not rich yet and he is the one that amasses their fortune (that he inherits in the future), that would be kind of cool. And what if he and Hermione had kids back then and no one knows that she is not pureblood, and it is discovered that she "muddied" their family tree hundreds of years ago... Anyway, reading on... p

Ch.9: (I remembered, finally to put the chapter.) Lucius is always Lucius, but if he is on your side, who could want anything else? HG is not going to be happy when she finds out that while she was being kidnapped and assaulted, he was seeking relief with a ho somewhere. p

ch.10: I love when Lucius looks at things from Hermione's point of view as he did the torture and Ministry. Knowing that he was ultimately taking care of himself, it is good to see that he recognizes the effect on another. Also, it is very interesting to see things from his point of view (only killing "bad" guys, not being so aggresive with Potter, etc.). It makes it easier to see him on much more human terms. p

ch.11: Lucius is constantly thinking about how to protect Hermione, physically and emotionally. It is too bad that she does not know of his actions. Also, he takes such "pleasure" for being right about the muggles, but maybe they would not have been so intent on killing the magical beings if they had not been hunted by magical people so recently...wonder if that will ever occur to him (or Hermione). Excellent! p

For someone that is so smart and experienced, Lucius appears to never actually think through what he says in conversation. To tell her that they would have killed her? It is a good thing he is so gorgeous! p

Very interesting so far. Wish that there was someone around to care for Hermione. I know Lucius will end up with her, but he is so self involved that he still will not recognize what is going on for her. He has a chance to have family still out there, while Hermione really does not.
Wonder if they are in purgatory or only on another spiritual plain. Looking forward to where you go with this. p

If they did go to the past, Hermione may be able to be of significant use to Lucius as she should be able to recognize the eras that some of the antiques she worked with were originally. Very interesting. Maybe they will be able to find the Manor since it had been standing for a thousand years or some such thing. p

I would never have expected Hermione to be so self righteous as she was with Lucius and the procurement of money. There was a time she would have been plotting and telling Lucius ways to get it. Just goes to show how life can drag a person down and obliterate their self confidence. It kind of makes me feel sorry for Lucius, which is a rarity for me.
There are so many ways that this could impact the future that they just left. I can't wait to see what you have done with them. p
