Yessssss *conducts full orchestra in symphony of celebration* (then remembers has no idea how to conduct orchestras - ah well - the occasion merits it anyway).
I really wasn't expecting it to start like this! I was expecting brittle comedy-of-manners, but this was intense, dramatic and intriguing. I enjoy having my expectations bucked as well, so it was good for me - and one wouldn't guess that you don't normally 'do' dark.
I am absolutely fascinated by the New Wave Master, and the possibilities that are opened up by upfront conflict between the Wizarding and Muggle worlds. Indeed, my current story is going to include a bust-up between Magic and Science. Who would win that war? I often wonder. I'm also avid to know if we might know who the New Wave Master is... Hmmm.
Lucius is wonderfully calm in a crisis, though Hermione (if it's her) seems to have lost it a bit.
And my final comment - I LOVE the idea of finding out what's beyond The Veil. I don't think I've read a story that delves into that before.
