Ah, I do love Lucius and you sneak into his head so well. Your characterization and the way you portray his reasoning are dead on. The narrative is great, interspersed with subtle bits of humor that make reading a complete joy. 'Tutu on a mountain troll', 'any female port in a storm', 'he might choose the cow over her', 'was there such a thing as a dead zombie?' - classic, exactly my sense of humor.
This is a very unique plot. I'm dying to know where and when they have been deposited. Both Hermione and Lucius keep experiencing a strong desire not to separate; IS it just the threat of the new place, or does this world have a magic of its own? Also, is there any possibility of return? There must be - Lucius and Hermione return and defeat the New Wave Master & are the new heroes of the wizarding world! Or, per Hermione's reasoning that she could change the future, they prevent the New Wave from ever happening. After falling madly, if grudgingly, in love in Quakerworld, of course.
Right. Yeah, this is a sleep-deprived review. Sometimes those are the best kind, though. In the words of Tim Gunn, carry on!!!
(I don't have to tell you to make it work because I know you already have)

The bit about the cow in chapter three was hilarious, and then Hermione being ready to hex it into hamburger patties. I laughed pretty hard.
So, what year did they land in? Is Harry still alive? Did Ron die? I hope so, I don't really like Ron's character. Is Draco still alive?
Oh, and thanks for reviewing my story.

Chapter 4
Huzzah! A new chapter!
So now we know that there's something between the French and the English (which leans me towards the "back in time" side of the fence) but we also heard the poor woman in the house say Silas protect us...(which tilts me back toward the alternate reality)... decisions decisions...
And then there is the issue of language; Lucius was able to understand quite easily when the woman and her children spoke so Middle English this is not. The fabric's homespun nature suggests that this society is pre-industrial and that they aren't just in a remote part of the countryside.
Ok...I don't want to over think this so I'll stop now and see where things go from here.
Lovely chapter LaBib. Very enjoyable, as always.

Just love how pit Hermione and Lucius against one another before you get them actually together. It's awesome. Please add more soon

I can imagine the expression on Lucius's face, and his subsequent disgruntled attitude upon his less than hospitable reception. "Frenchies!" that cracked me up. Obviously something tragic (or at least emotionally damaging) happened to Hermione in the past for her to have such a changed disposition. Or perhaps Lucius was just inaccurate in his first assessment. That seems unlikely, however, as I'd consider him a good judge of character. He's well versed in dealing with people and being able to read them is no doubt a talent he'd find useful and therefore would have cultivated.
This is shaping up to be a truly great story. I have no idea what's going to happen, or what has happened and will be revealed, and I'm trying hard not to think on it. I love being surprised, and anticipating the plot will only make the wait for updates all the more painful. It's so different though, and I'm so excited about where it's going! Is this the past, an alternate reality? All the possibilities are so delicious! What will happen next? I'm dying to know! I understand why you're spacing out your updates... but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I'm indulging the impatient child within, and that child wants more!
Lovely, promising chapter. Can't wait to see where your plot is going.

Ah, Lucius is hilarious in this - I do like his noble asperity and his sly efforts to wrongfoot Hermione, the question mark woman.
So now we know that they are trapped in the past, from their encounter with a fichu-wearing farmwife (gotta love those fichus!) who thinks Lucius is a Frenchie! Horror of horrors! Loved that little scene; very funny.
So now they are quietly sizing each other up as potential bed partners, while still sniping at each other. I can't wait to see what happens to them in their new world - and of course, Lucius in particular will fit right in!
Lovely long chapter; update soon.
