I LOVE this story so far. You're right...he does make sense. But it is good to see that he wants her too. Can't wait for the next chapter to see how exactly Hermoine decides to give in :)

lol! this is great. so according to snape its not cheating if you are not married, and hermione choosing not to sleep with him would be dooming her marriage and life to discontent and unhappiness. when he puts it that way how else can hermione answer? after all he is doing her and ron a favor, right? i really loved chapter 3. but what is going on with yuleride? when will we see part 2?

Crissy: lol. You've got it in a nutshell. I laughed writing this short chapter just for the reasons you've stated. But you have to admit, Snape is a smooth bastard. :)

Crissy: I'm afraid it's going to be quite a while before I write Yuleride Pt 2. It was only meant to be a Christmas PWP, but then it spiraled out of control. A friend of mine sent me a quote the other day saying it reminded her of me. It was an article on Harold Pinter in the New Yorker and it quoted part of his Nobel Prize acceptance speech.
"The author's position is an odd one. The characters resist him; they are not easy to live with; they are impossible to define. You certainly can't dictate to them. To a certain extent, you play a never-ending game with them, cat and mouse, blind-man's bluff, hide-and-seek."
Now, I am very aware these characters aren't mine. JKR made them lovable and feasible and special long before I tried writing fanfic. But saying that, I have to say this . . . I can't seem to control them much in my stories. I know where I want them to go, but they seem to find their own way of getting there, with me just recording the journey. Inversely, it certainly keeps writing about them entertaining. Thanks for commenting. ***
