Oh, cool, I would love a sleigh ride with Snape! I like the act he puts on for McGonagall's benefit there - I always feel a bit sorry for McGonagall. Why did Dumbledore keep her in the dark so much? It seems disrespectful. Ah well - I always think she must have had a really difficult professional relationship with Snape, and she certainly speaks her mind there.

Oh gosh, poor Snape. I think that, in his situation, it would be very difficult for him not to be reminded of Lily at every turn. It must be a downer. I like the way Valerie offered him a little bit of catharsis; she seems to understand what he's going through as well.

Aha, that's much clearer to me now; I'm glad Snape put Valerie straight about Voldemort and how she really wouldn't want to get involved.
He's taking a big risk letting Valerie in on his secret loyalties, but I think she'll be able to help him, and he needs the help. And the sex, lol. Liked this chapter a lot; Snape was very ic, I thought.

Seems like Snape and Valerie are incompatible after all - he had no idea of the extent of her physical masochism/submissiveness, even to the point where she's happy to be Voldemort's sex slave. He didn't see that one coming, did he? The mouse thing was curious, reminded me a bit of a scene from 'American Psycho', if you've read that.

Uh oh, I don't suppose Valerie bargained for Voldemort getting involved; this could lead to all kinds of sadistic complications. I like the way you keep Snape very distant and aloof, even when she is going all out to try and get him into bed.
I like having one large project and a number of smaller ones on the go at any one time, so I tend not to compare this to the 'Midsummer Coup' - it's a different thing altogether, and enjoyable in its own right. I hope you manage to keep both going.
