I was glad that Snape dealt with the prefects; considering what they put Valerie through, I wouldn't have expected him to be any gentler.

Now they are in their place and the Carrows will hopefully back off as well.

I loved the bit where he gave her the massage - that whole scene was both hot and quite tender (a bit like Valerie's backside, no doubt). For once in my life, I was pleased that he didn't cane her. Doesn't happen often!

Oops...Valerie said too much there, to Alecto! :) Could get her into trouble...

I wonder why Valerie didn't tell Ginny she had been caught by the Carrows and put in detention, and that was why she wasn't at the meeting?

Snape did give her a HUGE compliment there, when he said only Dumbledore and himself would have been able to match her performance, when questioned by the Carrows.

I like how Snape really seems to care for her now, and I am pleased he got her out of those detentions. Now, if only he could do the same for the rest of the students? But clearly, that would arouse too much suspicion. Getting ahold of those three should be interesting, though! I wonder what he will do to them, but I hope it's nothing pleasant. Knowing a little about your style of writing, I doubt it will be!

:) Good old Snape...Valerie certainly deserved that!

I can't believe she actually thought she could keep that from him.

I enjoyed reading about Draco in the last chapter, good to know he wasn't particularly happy with all the torture going on. I like to think that Draco really has a good heart underneath his arrogant outer display. I wonder what role he's going to play in all this?

Very intense torture scene - you do grand guignol so well. It reminded me of walking through the Chamber of Horrors at Madam Tussauds.

When I was 12 I did a history project on the torture chamber at the Tower of London - not much fazes me, though I guess I'd find it horrible in real life!

Damion is a piece of work, isn't he? Valerie must have incredible mental strength to come through all this sane.

Pffff, poor thing, that sounded horrible! Can't believe she managed to hold out through that! Great job Valerie. I am not sure why Voldemort would order them to interrogate Valerie, though. Why would he think she knew more about the diadem?

Oh, gee...this is complicated. I know Sjauthor...Voldemort thinks Valerie might have seen the diadem somewhere or maybe someone else in the D.A.....he's sort of desperate (yet doesn't want to appear that way and so won't explain fully to the Carrows). It's Voldemort last resort. He now knows he has no way of checking up ON this particular horcrux and naturally he is furious. So what does he do...he blames and punishes others (Valerie, the Carrows). Yet he also still believes his other horcruxes are safe.

Also...Voldemort thinks Snape may know about his diadem somehow...he is starting to suspect Snape might KNOW he has horcruxes. Of course, Snape does know. But not more than the knowledge...Anyway, getting Valerie interrogated helps insures Snape's loyalty as well (without questioning Snape's presumed loyaltly to Voldemort directly. Another reason...for the final battle at Hogwarts...this explains why Voldemort didn't bother to check up on the diadem that night, despite checking all the other horcruxes. It seems he didn't go check the diadem (cause he already knew he couldn't)!

Oh my God!!!!

I was going to start with saying how I enjoyed your previous chapter with the meeting with Voldemort, but that chapter with the Carrows was just awesome, so I have to tell you how much I liked it. What a fantastic twist, to get Voldemort's torture-goons in on things, and with Veritaserum too; I really didn't see it coming, and my heart was in my mouth for Valerie.

Fantastic chapter; really exciting. OMG, I wonder what will happen now?!

Be careful what you think when in the presence of the Dark Lord! A wasted mind...hehe.

But now she's lost her Galleon. How will she know when the meetings are?

I wonder if he really could break into the ROR if he wanted to?
