I don't know why, but something made me check this story, and I was so happy when I saw that there was a new chapter! ^^
Although I'm very sorry for your loss (I lost my great-grandmother some years ago, and I was devastated), I hope you will continue to write that wonderful story, because now I really, really, really want to know what will happen next. So, in hope that you'll confirm that Sirius is also an Elf (I mean, black hair, grey eyes... he's totally a Noldo!), I'm going to make my nails suffer.

It is wonderful to see you updating again! I had nearly forgoten about this fic until I recieved your Email. See, this is why AFF needs a mailing list for updates like FF has! I'm running out of Favorites' space on my web browser and it's impossible to keep track of them all!
Anyway, great chapter even if it was a 'filler' it had purpose. We got to see Harry being all angsty and it isn't that I dislike him or anything but I find angsty Hary both annoying and cute all at the same time. Like a kicked puppy, I just can't decided if I should pick it up and take it home or walk faster away in a desperate attempt to ignore the damn thing. Once again I can't wait for the reactions of those around him when Harry busts out his war-earned warrior skills! At this point I'm just itching for any kind of violence from Harry, I find a violent Harry to be very smexy though my preferance that he bottoms is kinda condradictory. *shrug* What can I say I like willful bottoms, my boyfriend can attest to that !! ^.~*

Hm... hope that Elrond or somebody soon pulls Harry from his funk. If elves can fade from heartache then Harry seems well on his way. Afterall we know that Elrond's wife had to leave for the Grey Havens after she was tortured by the orcs...
Although I loved the update I was more then a little surprised to see it as I had totally forgotten what the story was about and had to reread it before reading the update. Hope it won't be quite as long next time.
Anyway, keep up the brilliant work, you're definitely on your way to creating an interesting story in the LOTR world

Heya hun. Putting up with this is not how I feel at all, I love the story and I love you. You're a good friend. So dont worry about long absences they happen, and you had cause for the gap. Not like my long absence which was just a result of a lack of inspiration. I love this story and the chapter was brilliant. you're right you couldnt just skip between the recovery and the journey it wouldnt have worked. Love the chapter and can't wait for the next one.
