A Snape without eloquance is just too comical. I can't imagine I would write it any other way. He's not the type that would be able to express positive emotion easily and I can see the thoughts coming out negatively.

I hate James Potter. I have since the third book. He's an ass and I have no sympathy for him. I'm sorry to see that Snape has to deal with him still.

Aw, that makes me sad that Snape can't see the good in himself. He judges himself by schoolboy standards. It's not the jocks that are sporting the chicks on their arms after highschool, but the geeks who have a great job and exciting minds.

I like the banter between them. The irritation of Snape as Harry insists they talk, the glee of Harry as he realizes that Snape made a mistake. Good stuff.

Poor guys. Harry so happy, and Snape so despondent. I think Snape's bein too hard on himself and it's creating problems for them both.

i really love the story so far. i just want to read a happy story and not one that makes you want to cry and that's what you gave. i really hope to see the rest of this soon.

first of all.. thank you so much for the dedication! i feel so honored. and it was a great chapter too. it was warm, touching and funny too. i'm relieved to see severus portrayed as semi insensitive and annoyed and guilt ridden. having dealt with my own husband through two borderline insane pregnancies, i tire of seeing severus being this amazingly sensitive and intuitive father to be. i love harry's hormones forcing him to voice just how miserable he is and wanting to make severus just as miserable. i remember doing the same thing. on one hand i wanted to suck it up and be a martre but on the other hand i wasn't happy unless my husband was fully aware of how horrible i felt and nothing short of his apologizing for my misery every moment of every day would have made me happy. lol. and god forbid if he complained about anything! i would take his head off. "you think YOU had trouble sleeping? try getting sleep while a miniature person is STANDING on your ribs, you bastard!" on the other hand, if he showed any amount of unsuspecting compassion, i just wanted to hug and kiss him and do something special for him. this was brilliant and a joy to read. and thanks again.

And again, another brilliant chapter! I love that you've created a past for McGonagall (and yes, I was nodding when you called yourself anal). Everything in this chapter was great - the way Severus felt about Harry, the way he felt guilty and just wanted a break from it all, and the way he clearly does love the brat, even when he's being a harridan .. erm.. man.
