my only gripe w/ chapter 8 is that the location is unclear. It confuses the reader. I know you said it's in the great hall but the great hall doesn't generally contain sofas and such. So it would be easier to envision if you indicated that the hall was set up abnormally for these purposes or something of the like.
Otherwise, I'm enjoying it and look forward to reading more. It's a fresh take on the marriage law so far and that's wonderful!

That was too funny. Severus needing to call in reinforcements for the corset. And then finding out that Lucius used to practice taking them off a pillow....too funny. lol Can't wait for more!

Just a nitpick that caught my eye. The Cannon in D is not by Mozart. It was composed by Pachabel in 1680, long before Mozart was even a twinkle in his daddy's eye.
Beyond that however, the story is wonderful! I can't wait to read more. I really like how you have chosen to switch the POV. You can really see how Severus and Hermione respect each other. *giggles* I really like Zhi. he kind of reminds me of Charlie Chan.

I think that Pansy is a fool to keep stalking Draco. He never loved her and would never have married her. I liked how Hermione waited patiently until Severus was finished helping Narcissa to dance with him. She really understands that he is their trusted friend and wants Narcissa to be healthy. I can't wait to read more soon.
