Darn I knew this was going to happen but is still sad. I was hoping the baby would make it; will he/she? Well I am ready to start crying, next chapter is going to be really sad for sure and I have the feeling Sev is going to feel guilty. Go on make me suffer.

i can understand why some readers might not like this. strict adherence to canon makes a hp/ss fic a tough one to write. however, while some of potter's characterizations annoy me (much as JKR's did, btw), you've done a great job of filling in the gap between the last chapter of DH and the epilogue with severus surviving. this particular dynamic between hp and ss isnt one ive seen too often, and i enjoy the spin on the love triangle that has developed. its original (at least, as original as fanfic gets), and its intriguing. im looking forward to your next chapters and seeing where you take this!

Just read all of this in one sitting. You are working up to the slash agonizingly slowly, and chapter 30 was one hell of a cliffie.

Having just rediscovered this story, and poured myself into finishing it (up to this point) I had to dropa note to tell you how much I am loving it. Angery Harry is a character I love to hate, but you make it so hard to stay mad at him! He just keeps coming to his senses.

You were right to appoligies to the Ginny haters; you are doing a very good job of making her into a strong, compassionate, understanding, and driven, young woman. She is an excelent friend for Severius. The element of pain/remorse/shame that his relationship with her gives his feelings for Harry adds a greater sense of realism, as well as points out an empathy with her that is too often ignored by those who write Severius. Who, by the way, has a WONDERFUL inner voice. I can't help but feel a bit of regret that a subtly developing attraction between the two was not present, despite the visable friendship, camrederie, and dependence. I can't help but feel that the sudden references to two (as far as we have been led to believe by the plot) completely hetersexual men having repeated wet and/or erotic dreams about each other was a little out of the blue. I don't mean to nit pick, but one dream:you can repress and write off, more than one, however, would usually demand a little introspection.

Despite my picking of the nit, I am really enjoying this story and cant wait to see more.

I like ypur story. Do you have an idea how long this story will be? Poor Sev! He doesn't have a lot of chance with the people he fell in love with.

Sorry I haven't reviewed in a while, the chapters have been relatively short lately so I have wanted to read a few before I put in my two sense again. It looks like its turning out a really in depth plot, and even though I know a lot of people complain that they can't tell how it's snarry yet I think that's a good thing, because you guys have thought out the plot so well no one knows what's going to happen and that's why they are upset. I still enjoy reading this piece very much and want to continue being updated on it, and I'll try to review more.^^

Oh, poor Severus! You two do a brilliant job of turning him into a sympathetic character that makes me just want to grab Harry and shake him by the shoulders.
I love the nice, slow build of the plot, really developing the characters and their situations in the story.
Keep up the great work, I can't wait to find out what happens next!
