THANK YOU BOTH from the bottom of my heart. For making them human. For making this fic so detailed and brilliant and long and smooth and effortless. Thank you for creating a believable triangle! Thank you for forgoing the usual fandom cliches about labels and gender preference and politically-correct inanities. And thank you for helping me to see at this point in the fic that in fact, the most selfish one of the three is actually Ginny, for unless she suspects that Severus and Harry love each other, she is a blind and silly fool who deserves to lose both of them, as she is too selfish to care about Severus. Snape's living with her and her husband - what does he have? WHOM does he have?! At this point I'm just glad this fic is in your hands, because I have no doubt it will be played out for us - in lurid vivid colour for us helpless readers. Thank you!!!!!!!! -Tat

I'm sitting here in a state of utter shock because you've actually made this a mature, properly mature, fic. Like, life and love and death, and you didn't shirk from what these actually entail for people as life experiences! No fandom cliches! No silliness... no immature writing...I'm speechless. I'm stunned. I applaud you. You did what Rowling I think might have attempted in spite of her great fear of death, and yet you've actually made it REAL and PROFOUND and absolutely something anyone can relate to, which is what the Deathly Hallows wasn't, at least for me as a reader. (I suspect this is why some feel this fic is 'soap operatic' or whatnot - the bigger issues usually scare people.) THANK YOU - and I'm glad this fic is still a WIP as I write this review, because reading this has been a true pleasure. I'll continue to read it with absolute attention. You both rock SO HARD!!!!!! -Tat

I'm just at chapter 21 right now, but I love that story so much I just had to post a review already...
I really like the way you try to stay close to the canon as much as possible, it's a rare thing, especially in Snarry. And there's even a plot... I can't remember when was last time I found a Harry Potter fanfiction that was more than "I like you, let's shag". So really... I love that fanfiction, the way the characters act and think, their relations... It's just great!^_^

Forget that Bookwhoever. Like you said the first time, they don't have to read your fanfiction. I personally love your writing. I feel as if I'm sitting on the emotional roller coaster right beside Harry. At the end of this last chapter, I seriously felt listless, like Severus had had a hold on my heart as well. (Which he does, but I won't get into that.) You are amazing. Keep updating! I hope you have another trick up your sleeves! I might actually cry and come at you with a burning stick if Snape stays dead. *goes off to sniffle*

Wow. This is a lot to take in. I've followed you ladies here from HPfandom, and have been sucking down chapters 30-present in between RL. I love this story, I really do, even though in parts I haven't *liked* the story. Cheating is not my cup of tea, but I can read it if it's just a part of the story, as it is here, and not the entire point. I'm still loving Ginny, but I'm on the fence about her 'noticing' what's happened between Harry and Severus. I agree that unless she was given a *reason* to look for something else she wouldn't *look*, but I find it hard to accept that the three of them can live so closely and not have *something* show, especially Harry. Just my opinion, but I'm just a naturally suspiciouis old bitc..ah *person*, that is. :D And of course ya'll have put poor Severus and Harry through the wringer, definately earning your name.
And now with these final chapters, well, I'm blown away and I am still just taking it in. Very powerful stuff, and I just wonder where we'll go from here. Hats off to you ladies for all the beautiful words you've written.

I so don't want to know what's gonna happen until it happens in the story. That's like picking up a book and reading the last chappie before you begin the book. Or you really wanna see this movie and some looser tells you who did it. If by some chance you do spill all warn a body so we can skip and still be in ignorance until the story is over. Oh and by the way yayyyy for new chappie how sad for poor Harry. Thankies :O)

You know, girls, it is strange how one or two comments, thoughtlessly expressed, can erase the good feeling of those well-constructed in praise and advice. I would suggest you ignore any that hail from injudicious and personal discontent; that you concentrate only on those that are scripted in the spirit of the fanworld. But that suggestion is extremely difficult, if not impossible, for an author to follow. Therefore, I give you my own considered review to negate the bad taste of the hasty ones. This story is an Epic: you both told us so. I personally like my epics to be detailed, crafted to effect an alp-like pace of angst, mellow life, angst, happiness, angst, etc. I like the plot to be convoluted, rational and full of interest. It should be able to first capture and then maintain my attention; the structure to lead me unresisting through the maze of it. In my epics I like to be surprised, to not know whether, in a breath-hitching moment, events will make me smile, weep or want to rail. And, you know, there are so few that fulfil every one of my wants. All That You Leave Behind can be added to that list. You have arranged the story to incite the most interest and pleasure for the reader, and, as one, I appreciate the talent required to be able to do that. This is a fabulous piece of work and far above the standard one sees most often in the fanfiction world. Do not allow those unappreciative of the finer depths of story-telling to persuade you that this is anything other than a wonderful achievement. If they have not the imaginative trust and ability to sink into a story and to let it smother them in curiosity, wonder, and revelation, yours is not the responsibility to lower it to their level. There are plenty of stories out there that mark the story out with clear-cut signposts and well-trodden paths, so they are already catered for. Carry on with entertaining the more discerning of us who can see your weaving of this story for what it is: delightful enchantment. I, for one, have few criticisms of this story and none that matter a whit. Your writing is impeccable, pacing perfect, and the twists and turns of the plot exquisite. I wave a hand in the air and urge you to ignore the inane and facile comments and concentrate in doing exactly what you have been doing since Chapter One, which is to enthral us.

Boy, it's a good thing I always have tissues stocked, I sure have needed them these last few chapters. Let me say -- again, if I haven't before -- that I'm glad that you don't do that stupid 'Ginnie Bashing' that so many juvinile authors gleefully spew. It's one thing to bash an obviously nasty character, like Umbrige, Bellatrix or Greyback. Ginny was a caring, patient and devoted character and you have portrayed her lovingly. Thank you so much.
Poor Harry, he's heartbroken, but he's not the only one. At least they have each other and another little one on the way. Time and the joy of new life is always a blessing and will dull the pain of loss.
And; No, do not tell me what's going to happen. I hate it when people spoil a movie or book. Please continue with your creative madness! Woooohoooo!

Wow, this chapter was hard to read. No fault of yours, mind you, but I've unique circumstances. I'd had an extramarital lover myself, who has also long been my husband's best friend. One of them, anyhow. To the point that he's the godfather of our children and was the best man at our wedding. MOST of it my husband already knew about, but my husband recently found that was not all.
That aside... I'd tried to commit suicide recently (nothing so stupid as I truly thought anyone would be better without me, I'm on meds and having them adjusted) and this was a heavy reminder of just what would have happened to them if I had not been found by that ex-lover of mine. This chapter really brought that home and made me cry. Not that other chapters hadn't, or that this wouldn't have moved me, but there was something more... poignant there, I suppose.
Either way, I don't review often, but I have enjoyed this from the very start. Another excellent chapter!
