Bravo! Seldom have I read a Severus that at the same time manage to be this snarky and who manage to give compliments disguised as insults. This was a work of art, and I want to apploud you for a brilliant job done!

If Hermione won't go with him, can I? This Hermione doesn't seem to have had a crush on Snape in the past nor is she begging for it at present. I'm curious as to what will make them get down to some serious shagging. Love the Weasley bashing too. I loved Ron in the books but love to hate him in fanfiction land. Lookin forward to your next update.

I love the Severus: "You're wasting your promise!" thing on Hermione. It shows that he has always valued her skills greatly.
But... I'm not sure how you're going to get some shagging early on. There doesn't really seem to be any physical attraction on either side (maybe Severus is just hiding it) It seems to me that Hermione will, obviously, accept Snape's offer, break it off with Ron, and set out on an adventure and through the course of that adventure get it on with Snape.
Though that doesn't seem very likely to me in that this story is called "Yuleride" and is, supposedly, a PWP.
I certainly could see sequel possibilities if you do intend to end it before they start on any of their adventures.
Anyway, great writing as always! I can't wait for the next chapter!

I guess: Ooooooh, the smut is coming, believe me. lol. This is a PWP after all . . . well maybe with a little plot. And yes, I did make an effort to have both a canon Snape and Hermione in this one. No curling chestnut hair and amber eyes. No well-built body beneath the severe black robes, or trousers or crisp white shirts held up by a Slytherin belt. silk boxers or unflappable reserve. No "secret longings." There will be some AU elements (already are in fact) but I am going to try and keep it up for this one. I can go back to Fantasy!Snape in my other stories. Definitely digging this one, Ms. Figg. Great beginning! I especially enjoyed how he pointed out to Hermione who she used to be vs who she has become. I can imagine the sticky situations they get into . . . because all know she's going with him, lol!
