I disagree with sparkleh. It may have been slightly more realistic to say those are the consequences of a concentrated form of the potion, but I believe as consequences they are realistic. Speaking from the point of view of an adult who has suffered from ADHD all my life, I can honestly say that I've been so distracted that I forgot to blink (to the point that the dryness affected my vision for days afterward) and that I've been too distracted to breathe (but only for a few seconds).

None of that matters anyway. You are the author (and a brilliant one at that), and therefore, you can do whatever you want. Keep writing; I'm loving this story!

The consequences of an undiluted Distraction Potion are completely unrealistic... breathing is an automatic response, there's no real need to think about it unless you're trying to go against nature. Otherwise we would all die in our sleep.
